This is Rob Peterson from GM Communications.

General Motors is a global company operating in more than 120 countries - including China, the largest automotive market in the world. Our strategy is to build vehicles where we sell them which lowers the vehicle costs for consumers in those markets. All GM vehicles, except the Chevy Spark (Korea) sold in the US are bulit in North America. This represents roughly 30 percent of our GLOBAL SALES VOLUME. Just as important, GM exports over 250,000 North American produced vehicles annually, including several to China.

The United States is GM's home market, but we are global company just like our competition. For more information on GM's global operations please check factcheck.org.
