Earlier today, it was reported from the Iranian news agency Fars that Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was seeking to meet with members of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) group during his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly.
When asked about this reported meeting, an OWS spokesperson – who simply went by Dana – responded with the following:
We have no idea. As far as we know there are no members of OWS going to any meeting with Ahmadinejad. If anyone is going, they are doing so as individuals. In fact, there isn’t even a way to contact Fars News Agency to get any info as to where they came up with OWS meeting with Iranian president story. It’s all a mystery. So there you have it.
So there we have it? Well, since a simple Google search gives us the means to contact Fars News Agency, take the OWS reply for what you will
