Man Arrested For Allegedly Emailing Threats Against Obama

On Tuesday, August 21st, 2012, the US Secret Service arrested a man from Federal Way, Washington for sending an email making threats against President Obama.  According to Emily Langlie – spokeswoman for the US Attorney’s Office – the man sent the email to a general FBI mailbox.

Langlie also said that Secret Service agents were immediately dispatched to the suspect’s apartment complex, where he was found armed, and taken into custody.

The specific nature of the threat was not immediately disclosed.

Langlie said the suspect will appear in federal court Wednesday afternoon.
