Bradshaw Wins In Texas Runoff
Jessica Bradshaw has defeated Adela Garza in the runoff election for the Texas’ 34th Congressional District by a margin of ten percentage points. The latest numbers, with 99.5% precincts reporting show Bradshaw taking the election with a 55% to 45% victory.
The victory did not come as easy as the polls show, as Garza sent out a mailer making claims to the validity of Bradshaw’s petition for candidacy. These claims were quickly dismissed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, saying, “Unlike an ‘ineligible’ candidate who remains subject to removal, the statutes provide no post-election remedy for the disqualification of a candidate NOMINATED or elected on the basis of an insufficient application.”
Mrs. Bradshaw moves on to the November general election as the Republican nominee for the 34th District race. She is a first generation naturalized American and Texan, who has a deep appreciation for the ideals that make this country great, and that The Constitution and Bill of Rights are what protect these ideals.
