Left-wing Posterchild Alec Baldwin Assaults Reporter

Strutting back from the Marriage License Bureau in the city of New York, permit virtually in hand to consecrate his eternal love to Hilaria Thomas, Baldwin was accosted by a Daily News reporter wielding Alec’s worst nightmare: a camera.

What transpired during the altercation is a matter of debate, since video footage is not forthcoming of the beat reporter’s beat down. While the reporter, and his newspaper, claim Baldwin punched him in the chin, the Huffington Post is debating with its insular audience if a punch is really a punch if it is thrown by a left-wing celebrity.

No matter. The pictures published by the Daily News tell the tale of the tape: Baldwin was enraged for encountering a paparazzi and he vented his suppressed fury on the hapless schlub. Baldwin undoubtedly initiated the scrum and scared the living bejeezus out of the cameraman.

In brief, Alec Baldwin acted like a “rude, thoughtless little pig.”

Throwing fuel on the fire, Baldwin took to Twitter to plead his case before a public jury. Here are a few gems:

Alec Baldwin obviously knows how to stay under the Hollywood radar and to avoid media attention.

This isn’t the first time Alec Baldwin has assaulted a reporter. In February 2010, after Baldwin was released from the hospital, he attacked a New York Post photographer before several witnesses and even police.

As reported by one witness at the scene, the 30 Rock cast member was heard walking around the lobby, “They are the lowest scum of the Earth. They are the lowest scum of the Earth.”

So Baldwin’s reputation certainly proceeds him. Additionally, the actor was slightly embarrassed for a taped tirade blasting his eleven-year old daughter was released to the public. In the tape,  Baldwin made the exceedingly hurtful quip to his daughter: “”You are a rude, thoughtless little pig. You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being.”

But exposing Baldwin’s private life and violent streak is more than just petty gutter-sniping. The notable leftist has inserted himself into national politics, and therefore his character issues and his incoherent rambling are fair game.

As reported by Fox News, Baldwin gave testimony to Capitol Hill in April 2011. This is the news site’s summation of his remarks:

Emmy award-winning actor Alec Baldwin told CNSNews.com on Capitol Hill that he believes the financial crisis has “crippled” President Barack Obama, preventing him from doing any “new spending.” Baldwin also said Obama has been doing “a lot” of “back-peddling” because he’s had to spend his whole first term “trying” to correct America’s course financially.

Big Hollywood reported at the time that one-percent motion picture starts Alec Baldwin and Kevin Spacey shilled for approximately $167 million in taxpayer provided cash for the National Endowment of the Arts. Because, you know, priorities.

More recently, the millionaire media star again reaffirmed his place in mass culture as the Mayor of Political Unrealityville. In March of this year, he went on a Twitterscreed that leaves one breathless for its unflinching stupidity. As ABC News reported:

Actor Alec Baldwin has always been an Obama supporter, but he took his frustration with Republicans to another level today, warning his Twitter followers that  ”lying thieves” would take back the White House if President Obama loses his re-election bid.

“You wanna go back? To Bush? Cheney? Paulson? Rumsfeld? Unfunded wars? Death of U.S. soldiers and innocent civilians for oil?” Baldwin tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “You wanna go back to lying thieves in the White House who make war under false pretenses in order to make $ for their friends?”

Yes, because untold billions in slush-fund cash awarded to unions and other Democrat allies is not really “thieving.” Thieving isn’t about what you do, but who you are, you see. Obama’s drone attacks doubling Bush’s body counts, his unauthorized military campaigns into Libya, Somalia, and Pakistan, and unending wars overseas aren’t really happening because The Messiah is in office. In Baldwin’s quarantined mind, the war in Iraq was all about oil, even though American troops gave millions of Iraqis the right to vote in actual elections, and struggling Americans at the gas pumps never experienced noticeable price relief due to any surge in imaginary black gold.

Does America want to go back to Bush? Not really. But by supporting Obama, Democrats are mindlessly backing Bush’s “progressive”  policies, only taken to the next level. Alec Baldwin should stop embarrassing himself and quit while he’s behind. Because if he votes for Obama again in November, he’ll be helping usher in an economy that takes another big hit in the mouth. And that means Baldwin’s fluff occupation will take a big hit as well.
