Reports have it that Rick is dropping out.

It seems like the Santorum campaign could read the tea leaves. Score one for Team Reality.

The premise of this article is ridiculous. If Santorum has the money and the will to continue, he should. No useful purpose is served by the pundit class calling for any candidate to drop out. At this point it is ok to have a strategy that does not involve winning the nomination. Maybe Rick wants to continue for the sole purpose of pointing out to Mitt Romney just how conservative his party is. We have a hard time believing that any of these political egomaniacs could be possible of such a selfless strategy. If Mitt Romney is confident enough in his strategy he should use the time between now and the convention to get familiar with the public and train his sights on Obama. What Santorum does will not affect the outcome.

Tic toc, tic toc, Ricardo. You were never presidential material to begin with and it is time you face that fact like a man. Then I might have some respect for you as a man and not see you as an obstinate, oblivious, hot-headed, Bible-thumping, pontificating politician. What have you accomplished with your campaign? Setting the left up beautifully for their ridiculous “war on womyn” narrative? Can you please shut up about pornography, condoms, and abortion (which you can do hardly anything about as president, anyway), among other things? Your idiotic, irrelevant campaign might very well be damaging Mitt’s campaign to beat Obama now, as can be seen with his declining numbers with women. He is the candidate, love him or hate him (I personally can’t stand him). He messages on our terrain. This is an economy election. We have had too much supply of your bullsh*t, Rick, and there is no longer enough demand for you to stay in the race (outside of the hysterical anybody-but-Mitt crowd, who rail against Romney like he’s the second coming of V.I. Lenin). Time to hit the road and do some praying. That seems to be all you’re good at, anyway.
