An excellent point, and one I think practically ALL conservatives/libertarians will agree with. I voted for Romney in the primary, but not because I think he's the perfect Reagan replacement. Even Reagan wasn't a perfect conservative, so I won't waste my time expecting one to materialize. We just have to do the best we can, which is, after all, a conservative principle. Perfection is simply impossible, therefore try your best and that will have to be good enough. Right now a slow-walking liberal like Dole or a lukewarm conservative like Bush would be infinitely preferable to Obama.

The RNC makes no decisions for me. I don't know of any conservative that checks the RNC's opinion on anything. Usually the RNC is following us, not the other way around. Those who voted for Romney, like me, may be wrong in our judgment, but WE OURSELVES made that judgement. I studied the candidates myself, and concluded all on my own that Romney would be the best choice of the lot, and I didn't make that decision until a week before I sent in my ballot.

This Rosen is coming to this battle of wits unarmed. I pity her invincible ignorance and bigotry.
