    There is a well-known saying. “I carry a gun because it’s easier than carrying a policeman”. Your story, your emotion and viewpoint illustrate that point well.

    Many say that we don’t need firearms to protect ourselves because law enforcement is but a call away. You make the argument better than any silly bumper sticker – firearms make everyone equal.

    Great story, and everyone knows I don’t comment on many, but this one needs it.

      Thank you for your comment, this incident really brought the importance of gun ownership home for me. It really comes down to personal protection, you can’t depend on anyone else.
