What exactly am I supposed to ,take from this other than another “we can’t realistically round up all the illegals ” statement?
Immigrant aliens are required to carry the I-551, commonly known as a green card, to verify their status. So yeah, I.D. away law enforcement. That’s what its for.
There is no need to round anyone up. Alabama and Arizona have proven that enforcement of existing laws will naturally have the desired effect.
Secure the border, enforce existing immigration laws, and developed some sort of verification system would do the trick. Securing the border and enforcing the current laws alone would probably solve most of the problem.

Well, that’s two of us. Policing our border is one aspect of the solution – dealing with the immigrants already here will have many others. I honestly don’t know that we can avoid alienating a majority of Hispanics, but it would be nice if the base would look beyond this battle to the larger war with an eye to a strategy that involved staying in play long enough to win it. It’s neither the Hispanics or the illegals that have done the kind of harm the liberals have.
