Your comment, “I find the contrast to the TEA Party rallies to be staggering.” Ah, we agree on something. For me, I might start enumerating differences with Occupiers appealing to a broader demographic. You might be shocked to learn that the socialists (who have worked tirelessly to make themselves a part of every progressive political event on the planet for decades and never achieve the status of any measurable celebrity, but you’re working hard on that here too I can see), are not embraced by occupiers as it’s push. Occupiers want uncorrupted democracy ~ pretty easy to understand if one bothers to listen up. Other differences are that occupiers are far less foreboding; they do not carry around weapons at their protests, for example. They prefer to put out ‘rhythmic vibes’ carrying bongos to rallies instead. Occupiers don’t have “The Newt” mass e-mailing agendas with talking points before rallies. Instead, what exists for leadership in it place is grassroots, completely decentralized and all “local” Homegrown politics. Occupier members bring their own agenda and talking points – set up their own events that are voted upon by a general assembly, etc. Occupiers also very differently had no corporate-funded payroll for staffers to handle their logistics at ramp-up. There was also not a any corporate news network promoting rallies at the top of every hour… for weeks in advance. The highest predictor of membership in the movement also is not prior Republican party affiliation. As for differences in popularity, the Tea Party popularity ranked lower than any of the 23 other groups that the NYT asked about in a poll — lower than even both Republicans and Democrats. It ranked even less popular than much maligned groups like “atheists” and “Muslims.” Interestingly, one group that approached the Tea Party in unpopularity was the Christian Right. So, public perception of the occupiers is more approving according to all polls. Occupy also has global support in protests, rallies and movement support from overseas. Hey, the Egyptians sent pizza! That should be illustrative of a few of the differences. Your article serves as another nice piece of fear mongering on the pile. The worse the denigrating hyperbole being put out by those vested in the corporation-corrupted political process and democracy, the easier for the public, to understand and see that there is a transformative shifting of paradigm happening in our nation’s political dialog. I’ll close with a respectful tiny salute to the occupiers for all $5 debit card fees having been dropped (completely) as of today. Occupy’s push for Americans to move money out of big banks and into local community credit unions, by November 5th…. already working.

  2. Would you buy a used car from this man in the inset picture of George Kaiser? Would you let this man handle your investments? Would you let this man babysit your children? Doesn’t he look like a evil person? Just draw in some fangs and he would fit the bill for a demon.

  3. Our representatives need to start ordering the FBI to start making arrests of these Socialist Democrats who are supporting Obama, and their fellow Socialist Democrats who are calling themselves “Progressives”. The Progressive Caucus is a Communist front group right in our own government. Liberal Democrats are the ones who need to be arrested and those arrests need to start being made. Until We The People can see that there are some guts in our government and men from either party will stand on their right under the Constitution that at any point they can stop bills from going through because the Constitution says they can.

So do it!!! Make arrests because you have all the proof you need that is clear and self explanitory as to what they did was against the law!!! These people are committing crimes!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS, DO SOMETHING TO UPHOLD THE LAW OR WE WON’T HAVE LAW TO PROTECT US!!!

  4. My God!! Do I have to rewrite my responce from the article before this one on this site about Mr. Dummett and his proof of Obama’s ineligibility to be President? I concur with Mr. Russell again about the future of this nation. There may well be people in process of planning to take our government back, and I hope so. I’m disabled and I already know my future….death, either by natural causes or because it’s clearly stated in ObamaCare that people like me would be put out of my misery because I can’t be cured, so I need to be gotten rid of because I cost to much to keep alive. It’s not because I need alot of care, I don’t need any care at all, I take care of myself. But I draw a Social Security Disability check and ObamaCare considers that a waste of money. Oh well, but that’s okay because I’ve trained my son to take my place. He’s 6’2″ 220 lbs. and he loves the rough and tumble, and he’s a damn good shot to with both hand gun and rifle. I may not be able to run or crawl, but I can sit and shoot from some defensive position if I needed to.

American’s how much is your freedom worth to you? Is it worth your life, your wife’s, your kid’s lives, you nice home, your comfortable life? Wouldn’t you want to keep all that? The government may come and say you just stay in your nice comfortable home and don’t go wandering around, and they will take care of the rest. So you can just sit and watch your sport program on TV and don’t pay any attention to what’s going on in Washington.

We need to give our representatives the support they will need to take our government back because they may be the ones who need to start the process of giving the American people the right to begin to act on their Constitutional right to throw this government out, and replace it with a Constitutional government like the Constitution says we have the right to. Our forefathers gave us an out so that we could do something to keep from loosing our country if things got bad. The say that it has to be on two accounts that we could act on our right and they are a government out of control, which it has been for decades, or, if a despot is running the country from the White House, like Obama. So what are we waiting for?
