You need to look up the definition of a theocracy. You also need to do a little research of your own as to how this country was established and what the REAL definition of separation of church and state actually means. Yes, we are a constitutional republic that was built upon Christian principles. While God was added years later, EVERY govt meeting began and ended with prayer! I’m sick of you non believers pushing YOUR agenda on us in the guise of being neutral. You aren’t being neutral at all, you’re demanding your way! What has happened to TOLERANCE in this country? RESPECT for people who do pray or believe? What does it hurt for you to politely bow your head when the majority around want to pray? Why can’t you be tolerant of others by shutting your mouth the 1 or 2 minutes for a prayer? That’s how it’s been done for over 200 years, until recently when left wing nut jobs started making all their demands based on twisted readings of the Constitution!
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, PERIOD! Get over it, learn some respect and tolerance of others, and for God’s sake, practice what you preach! STUDY THE REAL HISTORY and not that pinko crap the socialists and communists feed you!

The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931)
Are we socialist….not at the moment….It was edited for our country, our desires and view points. The constitution was originally made by a group of gentlemen comprised of primarily Christian believers and was founded on biblical principals. Check your history . We were to be allowed our religious freedoms and to not suffer under the religious tyranny of people like yourself who seek to destroy the rights of the many Americans who still believe in the one true God that granted us this freedom. NBC spit in the face of the children that made the pledge and their beliefs…can’t you see that?

The “under God” wording unnecessarily excludes millions of Americans who don’t believe the nation is under a deity, one could argue that utilizing the God-free version of the Pledge is actually more patriotic.

That phrase does not belong in the Pledge anyway!

Check your history. “Under God” was added in the 1950s. The Pledge was written in the late 1800s.

We are NOT a nation “under” any god/s. That’s a theocracy. The U.S. is a constitutional republic.
