Who He Is Not
A man who looks like a president
A man who talks like a president
A man who acts like a president

Does He Have What It Takes To Be President?
In his words, yes, he does!

“I care about where this country is headed, and want to do something about it. I don’t think government is or should be so far away that it is virtually unattainable for the average person. We have let others handle our government, but there is a time for Americans to stand up and that time is now.”

What He Says Makes A Good President
I would love to just quote the entire page that Mr. Davis has on his website on what makes a good president. Instead, I invite you to visit his website and read for yourself what he has to say.

However, there is one sentence on the page that jumped out at me that I have to include in this profile. In this day and age where racism and race issues is at the forefront of so many discussions, I believe this statement sums up the  issue of race in regards to the presidency. I am actually making it bold print as I feel this defines the essence of this great nation better than any statement I’ve ever seen or heard!
What color should he be? I know the answer to this one. It’s the great American color: red, white and blue.
Why Does He Want To Be President?
Mr. Davis seems to understand that most people will question why he would jump into a race like President of The United States of America. He says that the answer is the same as for a a young man who joins the military knowing he is putitng his life in danger and will possibly face death- because they are partiots who want to serve their country and to preserve our way of life and freedoms.
He says this is why he is here today, running for President of The United States of America. By the grace of God, he says, he will make a difference in preserving freedom.

Core Values
From John Davis’ official website:

Honor     Accountability     Integrity     Common Sense     Loyalty     Truth     Passion     Servanthood

Revive America
Mr. Davis says he is a soldier- not in a soldier fighting in a war, but a citizen fighting for the future of America. He says he feels that this nation is at odds with itself and we must revive America. He says he has much gratitude for the freedoms we have in this nation that people in other countries do not have.

Mr. Davis recognizes as most of us do that our current leadership is doing everything they can to diminish America’s greatness and freedom. He believes that we must hold our government and leaders to higher standards.

On The Issues
Mr. Davis presents his view of the issues in a “Contract To America”, stating

1. Balanced Budget
2. Term Limits
3. Upholding The Constitution of The United States
4. Common Sense Leadership
5. Less government
6. Our borders are not being protected! Border control/Work Visas/Citizenship for law abiding aliens

Mr. Davis recognizes that government spending is out of control and that there is no fiscal accountability. He wants to bring honor and integrity back to leadership where it is slipping away fast, and in many cases is already gone.

As a businessman himself, he sees that one of the mainstays of this country- our freedom of owning and running an honest, successsful business- is disappearing due to huge regulations and fees on businesses. With government salaries being twice what they are in the private sector he sees first hands the effects of this.

As a Christian he recognizes that our values and freedoms are being persecuted rather than preserved.

On The Constitution
John Davis sees how our current President has total disregard for The Constitution of The United States of America- our governing document- and pushes through bills tith no regard for many elected officials and going completely against the will of the majority of We The People.

He sees how the judges around this nation are legislating from the bench, using their personal thoughts, feelings and opinions rather than our Constitution to make their decisions.

The Danger
Quoting from Mr. Davis’ website about what he sees the danger of this country being:

The danger is in the people giving up on their country and leaving their future to others, and giving up surrendering their common sense and good judgment because they think their voices can’t be heard. Feeling marginalized and unable to participate in the democratic process is detrimental to America’s success. Our country has survived many faulty leaders, but we cannot continue to go to the voting booth and check the box for the lesser of the two evils.

Quotes About John Davis From People Who Know Him

“John has very strong morals.”

“A man I can put my trust in.”

“John is strongly conservative, moral, religious, honest, a strong man and is clean in his life-style.”

“He is a very hard worker, not just working hard, but working smart with a can-do attitude.”

“He is stubborn and bull-headed enough to do what is right and yet, he is also a very caring person.”

On The Campaign Trail
Mr. Davis plans to visit EVERY SINGLE county in the United States-a total of 3,200 counties- on the campaign trail
Be sure to check his official website to see when he will be in your county!

Sarah Palin: 2012 Presidential Profile

Personal Information

Sarah Louise (Heath) Palin was born February 11, 1964, in Sandpoint, Idaho,
but the family moved to Alaska when Sarah was just 3 months old.

Youth Accomplishments
Played on the 1982 Wasilla High School’s Championship Basketball Team- she was
co-captain and point guard
Was the First Runner Up in the 1984 Miss Alaska contest

Education
1983- Graduated from Wasilla High School
1987- Graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications-Journalism from the University of Idaho

Family
1988- Married her high school boyfriend, Todd Palin. They have five children: Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig. They also have one grandchild- Tripp, who is Bristol’s son.

Sarah Palin’s family has been harassed endlessly by the liberal media, pundit, and any other number of wanna-be’s. I am a firm believer that any candidate who throws their hat into the ring for any political race should be prepared for endless scrutiny, I believe the children of the candidate should be COMPLETELY OFF LIMITS! In the event that the child is a minor I believe it should be a crime to attack them personally.

The Palin family- one and all- are true patriots for what they have had to endure in the spotlight!  If Sarah does indeed throw her hat into the ring for the 2012 Presidential race I know that the personal attacks against all family members will only increase.

Military Mention
Though Sarah Palin herself never served in the military, her son Track enlisted in the US Army in 2007

Private Sector Career
TV Sportscaster in Anchorage Alaska
Currently a Fox News contributor

Political Career
1992- Joined the Wasilla, Alaska City Council
1996 to 2002- Served as the Wasilla, Alaska city mayor
2006- Elected as Alaska’s first female governor after running a campaign based on ethics and clean government
2008- Became the Republican Party’s first female vice president candidate
2009- Resigned from her position as Alaska’s governor

There has been much controversy within the Republican Party as to whether or not Sarah Palin “made a mistake” by stepping down from her position as Alaska’s governor. There are equally good arguments on both sides.

While I am a firm believer in finishing a job that a person starts, I also believe the situation of Sarah Palin contains some extenuating circumstances that many people are just not aware of. I read her book, “Going Rogue”, and she made a point in the book that everyone who criticizes her decision to step down should think about. She said that she was already spending so much of her time as governor combating the completely false legal and ethics issues filed against her that she saw it as a waste of tax payer dollars to continue in the job. She knew that this would be a continuous battle until her last day in office. It was not only costing the Alaskan taxpayers money by taking her time away from the real issues of Alaska, but it also took money away from the state budget to fight these false accusations.

There have been those who have said she made the decision all for monetary gain…. she could not make the money as Governor that she could in the private sector by selling books, being a Fox News contributor, and the various speaking engagements she has. I will give a small amount of credence to this argument. This is true- as governor, she would not have the opportunity to make the amount of money she makes now. However, while I do not know Sarah Palin personally, I recognize the spirit of the “Mama Grizzly”, as she puts it- the term that she has made so well-known among Conservatives.

I am very proud to say that I too consider myself a “Mama Grizzly”! There comes a certain point in life where we all have to look at things from a more realistic point of view. That is one thing that I absolutely LOVE about Sarah Palin- she is realistic. Is she perfect? Absolutely not! However, she looks at things realistically!

I do not personally see her as a “quitter” because she stepped down from her position as Governor of Alaska. In fact, I admire her. She could have sat back and “played the political games and system” that so many of our politicians do today. She chose to be pro-active, rather than reactive in the attacks being taken against her. Yes, there are many who will disagree, and say that she reacted by “allowing the left to get to her”. This is where we will just have to agree to disagree.

I believe it takes a bigger person- man or woman- to step back when they are not able to get things accomplished for the common good. It was quite obvious to her- and should be quite obvious to other people- that she was never going to be able to devote her time and attention to the task before her- her job as Governor of Alaska- with the continual lawsuits and attacks against her by the left. I have the utmost respect for Sarah Palin in making this decision in 2009.

On America
Quoting her SarahPAC website, Sarah

“…believes America’s best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination.”

On The Issues
Pro-Life
Supports Tax Reform
Supports a free market system
Supports government reform
Drill Baby Drill! This is a “tag-line” of Sarah’s that has caught on with much of America in reference to drilling for oil in America.
Energy Independence for America (obviously!)

Foreign Policy
Should always be decided with our national interest first rather than the interest of other countries

On The Republican Party
Quoting from the SarahPac website

“… believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals.”

I “mostly” agree with this, in theory, if, and ONLY IF the Republican Party returns to her roots and core values. I am seeing very little hope in the “established” Republican Party that makes me think the Republican Party actually “gets it”! I pray with every fiber of my being that the party is indeed on the threshold of this historic renaissance that Sarah speaks of. If not, the Tea Party will be sure to help them along, I’m sure!

The Reality Show
Sarah Palin’s Alaska (2010)
I am not a fan of reality shows. The few I do watch are based on real-life careers of people, not a bunch of strangers thrown together and put in romantic situations or cut-throat survival situations. I watched “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” reality show and was fascinated by many aspects of the show. Once again I saw a real woman, with real-life family issues living every day life. While Sarah Palin and her family were the official “stars” of the reality show I consider ALASKA to have been the REAL star of the show!

This great nation consists of millions of unique landscapes, scenery, communities, occupations and people. I would love to see a “reality show” on each one of the fifty United States. Maybe find someone well-known from each state to “star” in the show. We have a wealth of history, information and beauty encompassed in these individual states. This would be a great way to enrich our country- capitalize on the “in-thing” of the time- reality shows- and use it for something good.

I commend Sarah Palin for participating in this reality show. Yes, I am sure there were things along the way that were “staged”… but isn’t ALL TV? Even the “news” is staged! To have been able to see the beauty that God created in Alaska was a privilege! One day I hope to make it there for a visit!

On The Web
Due to the fact that Sarah Palin has not made an official announcement that she is running for office of President of The United States of America there is no official campaign website link. In the event that she makes an official announcement we will update this article accordingly.

SarahPAC – Federally registered political action committee (PAC) formed in January 2009 “dedicated to building America’s future by supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation”.

Michelle’s Hair is all the Bush’s Fault

Just when we thought we had seen it all on this gaffetastic European vacation we discover massive quantities of flora sprouting out of Michelle Obama’s head. The Conservative Daily News doesn’t have legal rights to publish that totally awesome photograph so I can’t show it to you directly, but hey, just lick the clink…uh, click the link! Drat, that’s the wrong link. Try this one! Any time now the White House will issue a statement claiming that Michelle’s new do’ is all the Bush’s fault. And as devastating as that photo is of Audrey II of Little Shop of Horrors fame looking like the Afro by MoreGro, the runaway plant is the least of Michelle’s problems.

Just a day earlier Michelle MaBelle (why has your figure gone to Hell?) suffered a wardrobe malfunction when the wind threatened to blow her outrageous outfit up over her backyard vegetable garden. Oops, we’re not talking the headshot anymore. Okay, we’ll fix that…“Just a day earlier Michelle MaBelle (why has your figure gone to Hell?) suffered a wardrobe malfunction when the wind threatened to turn Michelle into a spokeswoman for rubber-covered fire hose. 500 pound test. Engineered to lay flat. Ozone resistant. One piece construction. Huge nozzle. Sucks to be you, Michelle.

In other news, the plant died.

Okay, back to the plant. Actually, that plant hairdo is way better than her normal coifs. Michelle looked just like a Christmas tree. She’s never subscribed to the Golden Rule that “less is more”. It’s all paste, fake – the plant was giving her a hint. I bet one of her aides bought that rhinestone necklace Michelle was wearing in the palace gift shop. The necklace looked like it got tangled up with three other ones and Michelle caved and decided to wear all of them. Did you catch the hypocrisy? She draped all sorts of paste jewelry around her neck but somehow neglected to wear her wedding ring. The jewelry was fake–just like the Obamas. Oh, did you hear? The plant died. The brassiness of her jewelry is surpassed only by her lousy makeup which makes her look like a Jack-o-Lantern. Speaking of Jackie O’, we never had to scrape seeds out of John F. Kennedy’s wife. I mean, just sayin’. To put it politely, Michelle gives an entirely new meaning to the word “Prune.” I now see why her husband never had any affairs…uh, ….

Just a hint here Mister Secret Service driver–Putting a tree in the trunk tends to make limos bottom-out while exiting embassies in Ireland, or anywhere else for that matter. Besides, (s)he ain’t heavy, (s)he’s my Harry Reid. And while you are at it you better modify Air Force One to include a rear cargo ramp – emphasis on “rear.”

I notice that the Queen has been keeping her distance from Michelle this trip. Guess she doesn’t like being pawed over. But despite the weightier matters of state, the one thing that makes Michelle unattractive over any other considerations is her scowl. It has been said that a person’s countenance is a reflection on the outside of what is going on inside. Given that scowl and the giant weed behind her head, Michelle looked like Diana Ross on crack sporting a kudzu fetish.

So we end up where we began. We think we have seen in all on the Obamas’ European vacation. But wait, they’re heading to France. Imagine the possibilities! Like General Norman H. Schwarzkopf once said, “Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion.”

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

We are nearing the end of the school year, with all the awards ceremonies, field days, game days and other activities.

Yesterday my kids brought home an “itinerary” of sort to let the parents know what is going on.

The first thing on the list is “Asian Pacific Islander Assembly”.

When I read that I could not imagine what in the world that meant. So I went to the Internet and found out that May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month.

Here is a quote from the About page:

May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month – a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. A rather broad term, Asian-Pacific encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands), Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia) and Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Easter Island).

Like most commemorative months, Asian-Pacific Heritage Month originated in a congressional bill. In June 1977, Reps. Frank Horton of New York and Norman Y. Mineta of California introduced a House resolution that called upon the president to proclaim the first ten days of May as Asian-Pacific Heritage Week. The following month, senators Daniel Inouye and Spark Matsunaga introduced a similar bill in the Senate. Both were passed. On October 5, 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed a Joint Resolution designating the annual celebration. Twelve years later, President George H.W. Bush signed an extension making the week-long celebration into a month-long celebration. In 1992, the official designation of May as Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month was signed into law.

The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843, and to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869. The majority of the workers who laid the tracks were Chinese immigrants.

So now we’ve gone from being hyphenated to all out leaving off the “American”.

The year I was born, the actor John Wayne came out with a record entitled, “America- Why I Love Her” that my Dad used to play all the time. It was re-released on CD in 2001 after the attacks on The World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The above video/poem/song defines what has been going on for years in this country. It frustrates me because there is one man that could have gone down in history as the greatest unifier is instead the greatest divider of all time. Barack Obama has made history. He is the first black man to be President of The United States of America! His life and attitude is living proof of how our actions bring about consequences. Rather than working diligently to unite a country that has been growing more and more divided over the years he is in fact intensifying the division and playing on it from his leadership position. He is outright exploiting every American- black, white, brown, yellow or red.

If you have never heard the entire CD I strongly encourage you to purchase it. Memorize it. It is embedded in my memory from years and years of being played in my home.

At this new “classification” shows, we’ve now skipped right over the hyphen. Now we are celebrating “different people in the United States”, not different people coming together as one united United States. The “official” name of  Month is Asian-Pacific American Month. In one place it is called “Asian-Pacific Heritage Month”. Now, the common name it is known by is “Asian-Pacific Islander Month”.  Hmmmm… what is missing in that last one? Yes! You noticed it too, didn’t you?! There is no “American” in there! It is a slippery slope, indeed, when you start to hyphenate and divide.

I am the first person who is all about celebrating and learning about the different heritages of our nation. As a mom of five adopted children of a different race it is vital to me to make sure my children know their heritage. However, my husband and I teach them that though their heritage is different, they are are AMERICAN! We do not hyphenate their heritage, just as we do not hyphenate our heritage.

We are ALL immigrants of some kind from some where.

My question is when are we going to have an AMERICAN HERITAGE month where it’s not about race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation or anything that divides us? When are we going to drop the hyphens- period?! If we seek to divide for any reason- heritage or otherwise- we will NEVER be united!

Governor Scott Vetoes $615 Million in Earmarks- Directs it Back into Education

Signs $69.1 Billion Budget; Calls on Legislature to Put Children First; Redirect Earmarks to K-12 Education

The Villages, Fla. – In keeping his campaign promise to make the tough choices needed to turn Florida’s economy around and get Floridians back to work, Governor Rick Scott today vetoed $615 million in special-interest earmarks and signed the 2011-12 state budget. Governor Scott called on House and Senate leaders to redirect the vetoed special-interest dollars into K-12 classrooms and schools so that state spending can remain at last year’s levels.

After vetoes, the $69.1-billion budget meets government’s three fundamental obligations of protecting public health and safety, creating a business friendly environment and preparing Florida ’s students to compete in the 21st century global economy.

“I commend the Legislature for sending me a budget that reduces the size and cost of government and provides tax relief to individuals and business,” said Governor Scott. “Special interests probably aren’t happy with the tough choices I made, but I am confident everyone can agree that funding for our children and students is more important than pleasing Tallahassee ’s special interests.”

Dear Debbie Wasserman-Shultz – CC:DNC

Hello DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, I live in Tampa Florida, and just read your marvelous announcements about Fellow Democrat Kathy Hochul winning a seat in congress in the New York (26) special elections. Congratulations!  First of all I must comment on how I’m sure you know New York well, as you still have that New YAWK accent, even though you supposedly live here in Florida and represent all Floridians today as the Democrats mouthpiece. Isn’t that amazing?  Here is something I also found to be amazing today in typical Democratic talking points propaganda media piece speak, from CNSNEWS.COM:

In a statement congratulating Democrat Kathy Hochul on her victory, Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz noted that Hochul won in a “solidly Republican district,” despite being outspent by a 2-to-1 margin:

“Tonight’s election result is not just a victory for Congresswoman-Elect Kathy Hochul, it’s a victory for the residents of Western New York and for Americans who believe that our elected leaders should fight to protect Medicare and ensure that our government works for our seniors, working families and young people.

Debbie Wasserman, (I had cancer) Schultz is really getting on my nerves with her hypocrisy here. Let me remind you of one basic FACT here for all of our Seniors concerned about their medicare and believing the Democrat’s lies here: Obama and the Democrats just cut $500 billion dollars out of your medicare to pass Obama-care under the fake budgetary standards the head liberal (Obama) demanded. Clear enough Seniors?

One last question for the new Propaganda Mistress of the DNC, Miss New York- what in the hell are you doing here polluting Florida, Wassermann-Schultz : How about you Democrats explaining just how well you are doing for the “young people” you mention above? Like, explaining to them the over $6 TRILLION dollars of debt they have to repay since you clowns took over Congress in 2006, and the trillion dollar yearly deficits ever since Mr. Hope n Nothin- left- but- change, got into the White House? I’m calling your BULL just what it is W-Schultz, ya got the facts to deny it ?  If you are sooo self-righteous in that garbage and misinformation, lets get together for a one on one here near Tampa. As Tim Pawlenty says… It is truly “A Time for Truth” for all Floridians. Dial it up Princess, let’s match up some truths and facts about America , her budget deficits and Medicare . That is right, I am calling you out on the part of my parents and millions of Seniors across America. Contact my editor, lets see what you have, or call into our show The Plain Hard Truth, tomorrow night. I shall be there waiting on you, but I’m not holding my breath, as you are too busy spreading lies and misinformation for the DNC to honest hard working seniors who have paid into SSI for decades, like my parents here in Florida and across America ! As my Grampa always said W-Shultz, “It is time to put up or shut up.”

Loughner Deemed “Not Competent To Stand Trial”

You have absolutely GOT to be kidding me!

I should have known. We have reached a point in our society where nothing makes sense anymore! Up is down, right is wrong, wrong is right, white is black, black is white…. and I could go on and on with analogies. However, that will get us nowhere, really.

I try to be an optimist. I am a Bible believer, so I know the power of prayer. I also know what Scripture says about what will come in what we call “the last days”. Have we reached “the last days?” Well, I do not know for certain, but all signs sure seem to be pointing that way!

Where my faith, knowing what Scripture says will come, and reality clash are my feelings with everything. I am not one to give up in the sense of, “there’s just no point in going on.” I KNOW I have to keep fighting the good fight until my last day comes, whether it is by my death through old age or other occurrences or if it is by way of the rapture of the Church which yes, I do most certainly believe in.

I know that God says, “Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord”. (Romans 12:19)

I also believe that there are consequences for our actions. I believe there are certain actions in this life that are punishable by death. Yes, I have Bible Scripture that I use to base this belief on. (Romans 1:28-32 ; Acts 25:10-11 ; Romans 13:1-4) but that is not the point of this article.

Now we have a man who will get away with cold-blooded murder because he is feigning incompetency! Yes, I am calling him a liar, a manipulator, and a game-player playing the system.

This very same man went into court sneering the first couple of times he appeared in court. Now, according to one report I heard on TV, all of a sudden he is “rocking back and forth”.

Please do not get me wrong. I absolutely believe he is a mentally disturbed man. I believe that is quite obvious from his initial actions of murder and attempted murder back in January. I believe there is proof of that from other incidences that have been reported after the attack happened.

Now there will be no justice for Ms. Giffords, the other survivors, and those who were killed that day. Now our tax-paying dollars will have to be used to keep this man alive until the day he dies.

I do not for one minute believe he can be rehabilitated. He has shown absolutely no remorse- even today in court. He is relishing in the fact that he killed people. To me this speaks volumes for his mental well-being, or lack thereof.

So what is the answer? I will be called “inhumane” because I would rather he be put to death.

I will be called selfish, cold, uncaring, un-Christ like for thinking he deserves the death penalty.

I believe justice should be served.

Today that did not happen.

Thankfully this was just the federal case. Maybe the State of Arizona will not be so politically correct!

God help us all.

My continued prayers are with Ms. Giffords, her family and friends, and all the other lives that were affected by this tragedy.

A Fact Check of Washington Post’s Fact Check of Netanyahu .. or something

The Washington Post published a fact check piece attempting to discredit Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements before a joint session of Congress by brushing over them with the stain of “world opinion”. We fact-checked their fact-checking and found it .. lacking.

As all left-leaning media will do, WaPo’s writer spent the entire article using European leftist “we know better for you than you do” innuendo to create a false moral equivalence between the Israelis and the Hamas and Fatah- led Palestinians.

NETANYAHU: “You don’t need to send American troops to Israel. We defend ourselves.”

THE FACTS [According to WaPo]: Israel is a leading recipient of American foreign aid, including more than $1 billion in military assistance each year.

The real facts:

In the quote the author used is the truth. Netanyahu said that no American troops were needed in Israel. Turning around and saying that giving money and putting boots on the ground are the same thing is not only dishonest, but an insult to the fine men and women of the United States and Israeli armed forces.

NETANYAHU: “In Judea and Samaria, the Jewish people are not foreign occupiers. We are not the British in India. We are not the Belgians in the Congo.”

THE FACTS [According to WaPo]: While the West Bank, or Judea and Samaria, is promised to the Jewish people in the Bible, the international community considers the West Bank occupied territory.

The real facts: The international community does not have the right to revise 4,000 years of Jewish history and change the status of the Jewish homeland on a whim. As Egypt, Syria and Jordan created the situation out of which the 1967 lines appeared, perhaps Jordan should be asked to give up some of it’s land to the Palestinian state. Anyone that references the U.N., E.U, World Bank and I.M.F. (aka “the international community”) as sources of morality and decency has moral compass issues.

NETANYAHU: “You don’t need to export democracy to Israel. We’ve already got it.”

THE FACTS [According to WaPo]: Israel does give its Arab minority full civil rights, including participation in elections. But Israeli Arabs suffer from systematic discrimination in housing and the workplace. Also, more than 2 million Palestinians living in the West Bank do not have Israeli citizenship and therefore cannot vote in Israeli elections.

The real facts: Also a quote from the very same speech, “..of those 300 million arabs, less than one half of one percent are truly free – and they are all Isreali citizens”. Of course the Washington Post glosses over those references. Missing the point that Israel is the home of more free Arabs than any other country, the writer simply says – that’s not all that great.

Oh and the farthest reach of all. Here the writer tries to clean up Hamas’ image by twisting Netanyahu’s words then disproving the false message. All too typical lefty-styled “build a straw man and take it down”.

NETANYAHU: “Israel will not negotiate with a Palestinian government backed by the Palestinian version of al-Qaida.”

THE FACTS[According to WaPo]: While Hamas and al-Qaida have killed hundreds of people in religious holy wars, they have no connection, and Hamas has in fact come under criticism from the global terror network for being too moderate. Al-Qaida preaches global jihad. Hamas says its struggle is solely against Israel, not the West at large. In its Gaza stronghold, Hamas has violently clashed with smaller armed groups that claim inspiration from al-Qaida.

This is the second time the post’s creator opts to disprove something that Netanyahu didn’t say. The prime minister made the claim that Hamas is the Palestinian version of Al-Qaida. He never said that they were related or part of that terrorist organization. It’s clear that Netanyahu was labelling Hamas a terrorist organization – one that is bent on genocide – one that acts and works much like Osama bin Laden’s group.

One-in-Four Workers Can’t Afford to Take a Vacation

CHICAGO, May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — As we approach the official kick-off to summer getaways with Memorial Day weekend, a recent study from CareerBuilder shows financial constraints and demanding work schedules have some workers foregoing vacation plans this year. Twenty-four percent of full-time workers reported they can’t afford to take a vacation in 2011, up from 21 percent last year.  Another 12 percent reported they can afford a vacation, but don’t have plans to take one this year. More than 5,600 workers participated in the nationwide study, which was conducted from February 21 to March 10, 2011.

While the majority of workers are planning some time away from work, three-in-ten plan to take the office with them on vacation.  Thirty percent reported they will contact work while on vacation, up from 25 percent last year.

“Taking advantage of vacation or paid-time-off benefits is critical not only to your well-being, but to your overall job performance,” said Rosemary Haefner, Vice President of Human Resources at CareerBuilder.  “Workers who set aside time for R&R tend to have less burnout, more creative energy and higher quality output.  While financial challenges and heavy workloads may make vacation planning difficult, it’s important to find time to recharge away or at home.  It can ultimately translate into a more gratifying work experience that benefits you, your family and your employer.”

As the economy heals, more than one-third (36 percent) of workers reported that they feel more comfortable taking a vacation than they did in 2010.  One-in-four (26 percent) are planning a vacation of 7 to 10 days while 11 percent expect to be gone 2 weeks or longer.  Twenty-four percent are planning for 3 to 5 days or a weekend getaway.

Haefner recommends the following tips to make the most of your time off:

  1. Give plenty of notice – 24 percent of workers reported they have had to work while their family went on vacation without them.  Coordinate schedules with family and friends and co-workers as early in advance as possible, so you can plan vacations before/after big projects and events.
  2. Don’t take a guilt trip – 12 percent of workers reported they feel guilty that they’re not at work while they’re on vacation.  Your vacation benefits are there for a reason.  Enjoy yourself.  The work will still be there when you return.
  3. Ask about discounts – Many employers offer discounts on personal entertainment and travel for employees that may make vacation plans more affordable.  Check out the company intranet or contact HR for more information.
  4. Make sure you’re covered – Buddy up with other co-workers to cross-train one another on responsibilities, upcoming deadlines, key contacts, where information is stored, etc.  If your company may need to contact you for something while on vacation, make sure to set parameters on when you’ll be available and stick to them.
  5. Use ‘em or lose ‘em– 16 percent of workers reported they gave up vacation days in 2010 because they didn’t have time to use them.  If you can’t take a number of days at once, consider taking a day here and there for extended weekends or mid-week breaks.

Glenn Beck: America is Being Played !

Glenn Beck has predicted the Middle East crisis almost to a tee recently, and while everyone was calling him crazy for it months ago, no one seems to admit how correct he was today. Beck predicted that Egypt, Libya. Tunisia etc. would all be on fire due to civil unrest and what do we see today ? Beck predicted food prices would skyrocket, and today the eight of the major food groups are up a combined 73% over a year ago. Beck warned us about the Muslim brotherhood getting into the government of Egypt and that happens to be true today. Beck warned us that Israel was under attack from all sides, and recently Obama called for the resetting of their territory to a defenseless reinstating of the 1967 borders. In September the U.N. is slated to vote on making Palestine a recognized State, and we can rest assured that it will come with the demand to redraw Israel’s borders. Beck was proven correct in many ways in his predictions about the middle east and our economy recently, and the leftist media puppets that called him crazy are eating massive helpings of crow today, and of course they are refusing to admit it.

Recently, Glenn Beck explained his theory on the major realignment of world powers recently, and just who will rule in the near future. The four main “players” are:

1 -George Soros and his media and financial empire.

2 – Russia – They are expanding their influence with Iran, Turkey, Venezuela and even their longtime arch-enemy, China. Military rebuilding, Nuclear sales . Building oil and gas pipelines to Europe. What happened to Europe’s green energy plans? The fact is, they need oil and gas, and Russia will sell it to them.

3 – China – Over a billion people to feed, and they are buying up major amounts of gold and rare minerals in possible anticipation of the crashing of the U.S. dollar.  Technology advancements.

4 – Islam- OIL

Will Glenn Beck be proven correct again here? Watch in the following FoxNews video how George Soros states that, “China has to be brought into the New World Order.” Video courtesy of FoxNews.com

Newt Gingrich for President?

Newt GingrichMr. Gingrich has been in and around the political arena for a long, long time. After all these years he knows how to play the political game, or at least he thinks he still does. I believe that his most recent presidential interviews clearly show that he has mellowed out politically since his true-blue conservative days of the nineties. I can clearly see from his recent political flip-flopping statements that he believes that he has to appear to be both a conservative liberal and a moderate conservative to have any true hopes of ever getting into the White House. (One of the most obvious examples of this is Newt’s climate control spot with ultra-liberal Nancy Pelosi. Many conservatives believe these types of ads will ‘hurt’ Newt’s chances of winning a presidential race. I do not think so. I personally believe this ad, like other seemingly politically correct, anti-conservative ads, are part of Newt’s (future) scheme to win over those voters who would not vote for him if he chose to run for president as a dedicated conservative.)
Mr. Gingrich is a very, very intelligent (I.Q. intelligent) person, but so was the Absent Minded Professor. (Sometimes very intelligent people say or do real dumb, unthinking things.) Now, none of us are perfect, but the conservative public is not going to be quick to forget a very blatant political or personal slight, especially when it is done against a very nice conservative or liberal politician, as when Newt recently referred to Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget plan as some sort of “Right Wing Social Engineering.”. Mr. Gingrich recently found that his lack of tact when criticizing Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget plan has back-fired politically causing him to walk it back and issue several apologies. I believe the words ‘political traitor’ have rolled off the lips of many true conservatives in America because of what Newt said about Paul’s budget plan! (Newt Gingrich, he of supposedly very high intelligence showing a lack of basic political wisdom.) He has since apologized, or so it would appear. Oh, I know that publically Newt has said he was sorry for what he said about Paul Ryan’s budget plan. My question is, was it a genuine apology or simple political theater ? There are those arrogant politicians who are so into themselves that they actually believe that everything they say will be received well because, after all, they said it. (President Obama is a good example of that.) Newt needs to remind himself that this type of political arrogance works well for liberals but not for conservatives.

I know that many people, especially true conservatives, believe that Mr. Gingrich pretty much ended any presidential aspirations for 2012, when he publically ridiculed fellow conservative Paul Ryan’s budget proposals. I disagree. I believe when Newt slammed Paul Ryan (and then ‘apologized’ a day later for doing that) Newt caught the attention a lot of possible voters who voted for Obama in the last election, but who are not going to vote for him again. I believe Newt’s anti-Paul Ryan comments caught the ear of voters who are disenchanted with President Obama and who are looking for a candidate who is not too far to the right of the political center, and someone who is conservative enough to get America on track economically. ( kind of like more of a Blue Dog Democrat instead of a Conservative Republican.) Someone not so conservative that they would touch the sacred cows of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, even though technically, those programs are on their way to insolvency if they are not reformed very soon. (Newt kind of pulled the same political game when he went to Iowa and started telling the people of Iowa that ethanol was a great product—even though most Americans and Newt know that it is not. Ethanol subsidies also cost the U.S. taxpayer over $11 billion dollars in 2010.)

Though there is a wonderful conservative Tea Party movement going on in America I do not believe the movement is large enough to dominate or determine the outcome of a national presidential race, although I do believe they do have the clout to determine which Republican candidate will be in the national election. So I believe Newt is willing to ‘sell his soul’ to moderate or conservative Democrats, moderate Republicans, and many Independents in hopes of winning a presidential election. That is why I personally believe the slamming of Paul Ryan’s budget plan was either purposely planned, or politically used by Newt in an attempt to gain support from a wide range of voters on the national political level.

Unfortunately for Newt, I don’t believe he thought he was going to get so much conservative backlash from what he said about Paul Ryan’s budget proposals. (I believe Newt is finding out those ‘pesky’ Tea Party Conservatives are the real deal!) So once Newt starting receiving all the Tea Party-like backlash from his careless comments about Ryan’s budget planes he wisely ‘back-downed’ (at least verbally) with an apology. ( Newt is also smart enough to know he also needs the conservative vote, along with the moderate Democratic and Independent vote if he wants to be president.)

As I see and hear of Newt ‘compromising’ his conservative values, I believe Newt is not seeing an important piece of the puzzle that is critical to his making it to the White House in 2012. He has to win the Republican nomination first! I believe Newt has over-looked that fact that it is not the moderate or conservative Democrats that make up the the Republican base of voters. If Newt Gingrich truly wants to have any hopes of making it to the White House, he had better figure out ways to soundly and truthfully reconcile himself to the true conservative base in the Republican Party. These are the voters who will either make or break him at the Republican Convention—the first of two steps to White House.

When a conservative politician aspires to be in office and then makes statements to the contrary of what they are supposed to believe in, it is very difficult for that conservative/moderate/flip-flopping conservative to explain all of the ‘new’ (confusing and misleading) positions they now claim to have. (This is what is commonly known as political waffling, and it speaks of a lack of character.) This type of tactic works well if one is running as a beloved liberal with total media support, but if you are running as any type of conservative this will not work! Newt has already found out that the same ‘media love’ for liberals is not offered to conservatives—no matter how middle of the road they say they are! An obvious example of this was when Newt ‘bashed’ Paul Ryan’s budget plans. The liberal Democrats used that situation to falsely proclaim in false, Medicare cut ads that stated that even some conservative Republicans do not agree with the Paul Ryan’s ‘extreme’ budget plant; which of course was not true. One extreme Democratic ad even went so far as to portray Paul Ryan as pushing Granny in a wheelchair off of a cliff to her death!

The political times are very different today, then they were in the nineties, back in days of Newt’s previous political powerhouse. Not only do I believe this will be the most expensive presidential election we’ve ever had, I also believe this upcoming presidential race is going to be the politically meanest and dirtiest election in a real long time. The internet has changed the way people get information—and unfortunately much of that ‘information’ is made-up political lies. Also, much of the information you read on the internet about political candidates is much more personally detailed than it has ever been before. By the time the presidential election roles around in 2012 people are going to know much more about the personal and private life of Newt Gingrich then they might even know about their own parents.

Mr. Gingrich also has the baggage of past sexual affairs in his political resume. These are tough to overcome when you are running as a Conservative. I know, I know, a lot of people say a man’s personal life should not be a determining factor when voting for someone. I believe many disagree with that opinion—especially people on the Conservative side of the ticket. Many believe that if a person cannot keep their wedding promises, how will they ever keep their political promises? Do people make mistakes? Absolutely! However, many believe making the decision to cheat on your husband or wife shows a true lack of moral character, and leads people to not trust in that person. Many agree that if you cheat on your spouse, you will also cheat (lie) to get into office. Voters do not forget adulterous affairs that easily, especially if the politician was a conservative.

I personally believe that ultimately it is not Newt’s (sometime) lack of conservative savvy or lack of political tact which might cost him this election. I believe at the end of the day it might boil down to his lack of personal charisma. For many Newt comes across as curmudgeon of a politician who is just going through the motions of feeding his ego in running for president. He just does not seem to be excited about the political quest he has involved himself in. From what I have seen of Newt so far, (and it still early in the race) he just does not come across as a presidential candidate who has the ‘fire burning in his belly’ to really want the job.

Let’s also face some other facts about Newt. He is not what some might call an attractive person, and he does not come across as being a charismatic speaker, even though he is a very intelligent speaker. A lot of Americans are very superficial when it comes to finally deciding who they are going to vote for as president. A lot of Americans will simply vote for a candidate if that candidate both looks good and talks good. Again, I know it is early in the 2012 Presidential primaries, but Newt does not come across as the much favored “fresh face” many voters are demanding in 2012.

This country is pretty much split down the middle between the two major political parties. Both sides are in the fight of their lives. I would encourage Mr. Gingrich to try to avoid burning the conservative bridges as he strives to reach the White House. ( he may have already burned too many ) Chances are that the very conservatives he ridicules, mocks, or ignores (on his march to Pennsylvania Avenue) will run him out of town at the Republican Convention!

While we are still a long way off from the 2012 election, Newt Gingrich has certainly made his path to win the 2012 Republican nomination for President a lot more difficult by alienating a good percentage of the conservative voters in America. I believe that Newt could make a good president, but he definitely has to pick up his game a bit. He not only needs to work on his political demeanor, but I also believe he also needs to work on being a more likeable (i.e. funny, charismatic, friendly, but conservatively bold) Reagon-esque type of candidate. The question is whether or not Newt will ever be able to recover from his recent statements that have really turned a lot of conservatives and Republicans alike away from him. Only time will tell.

I Am So Angry

Once again I am veering off the ongoing saga of our story to adopt children through the Broken Foster Care System.

If you’ve already read my Mother’s Day story, you know that our adoptions were finalized in July of 2009.

After the adoptions it took some time for the kids to adjust to the fact that they were in fact adopted, not foster children any longer.  Thankfully, our youngest child didn’t know any difference at all.  When he would have visitation from his case workers it was just another friend coming over to visit. In reality, I do not believe the next two children (age wise) truly comprehended the difference either, as they were so young when they came to us, as well, that it was more like just a visit with friends when their case workers came over.

However, the oldest two children definitely knew the difference. In fact, I do not believe the reality has set in to this day. They “know” they are adopted, that this is their home, we are a forever family, but what does that really mean to a child who has been cast back and forth within the system all of their lives?

Dealing with the aftermath of things settling down and us finally becoming a family was overwhelming in many ways, yet like a breath of fresh air all at the same time.

Today, we are almost 2 years past the final adoption. Things are the same, yet different. When things would come, and questions were asked we’ve always addressed the questions directly and honestly.

One of the issues we have had with three of the four older children is being destructive. It doesn’t matter what it is, they will destroy it. They have LITERALLY peeled paint right off the wall. They tear up almost every toy they’ve been given. Our youngest daughter destroys her clothing.

At the current time I am removing absolutely everything from their game room with the exception of a couple of plastic buckets of toys. Until I am able to move things around, there is a bookshelf with books, games inside, and just general kid stuff. There is a TV and TV stand. I have already removed the quilt rack, which they destroyed, and the blankets that I had for them to cover up with when they watch TV. I have removed some of the blankets because they were given to them as adoption presents by a local church who makes quilts for each child that is adopted.

I am flat out exhausted from trying to replace things that are broken; caution not to climb on the bookcase because it will fall and either hurt someone really bad or literally kill them; cleaning out broken toys, and other variety of clean up from their destructive behavior.

Our youngest, who I refer to in my writings as “the baby”, just turned 3-years-old. It is amazing to see the difference in his playtime behavior from the other four children.

We learned in our classes to become foster parents that the most formative years is birth to 3 years. That amazed me, since their language skills are not developed, coping skills are not developed, and other things that seem like they would be more important than the first three years.

However, our family is a prime example of how true this is. Our baby- the three-year-old, has been taught from the very beginning how to treat toys, clothing, our home, and how to take care of things in general.

Very recently, after dealing with the aftermath of yet more destruction, my husband made an observation that had never crossed my mind. He said that maybe no one ever taught the other four children how to play! This struck me as odd, since I play with all of them. However, their “most important formative years” were already passed when we got them.

I wonder how much of this truly has an effect on how they treat things now. They see the positive examples, get in trouble when they do destroy things, yet they still do not seem to learn. They still keep repeating the very same behaviors.

So why am I angry, you ask? Because I feel like the system has set my older children up to fail! My husband and I are doing everything we know to do to UNDO the bad parenting that they had by their biological parents, as well as foster parents that did not care and try to RETEACH the PROPER way to play and treat things. This goes beyond just “messy kids”. This goes beyond the “kids will be kids” excuse. It is literally to the point that buying them toys is just a waste of time and money.

This past weekend is a prime example. We took the kids shopping, and I decided to try one more time with new toys. We bought them Lincoln Logs, because they love to build stuff with blocks. They did well the first day. Then, what do you know… the next day, they are in the game room throwing the Lincoln Logs at each other and the window! Now, they had been warned that these were not to be thrown, because throwing things is one of the frequent offenses that they get in trouble for. Oh, I know, all kids throw things. However, there is almost a systematic destructive intent to the actions of at least two of the children. One for certain, the other one has come a long way. (She actually was not involved in throwing things this time, so we are making a little progress!)

There’s a well-known saying in the foster care system, although it is breathed in hushed tones. It reminds me of the scene from “St. Elmo’s Fire” where Wendy’s mom whispers everything that she finds “too horrible to utter”.

So, what is this phrase that is “too horrible to utter”?

Too old too adopt.

This is not true, in the sense that you are never truly “too old” to be adopted. There are adults who have been adopted.

what this simply means is that most people want to adopt a younger child- a baby most preferably.

Our oldest two children were almost “too old” to adopt. I will try to explain this more as I go along, because I do not want this to be misunderstood.

I love ALL of my children very much. And yes, I know all children- biological or not- have issues. I know… kids will be kids. I know all the cliches, true as they may be. However, there is a “magic age” that once passed, it becomes a great deal more difficult to get past the “issues” of being in foster care. That “magic age” is about 5-years-old, give or take a bit.

Our oldest child was 6-years-old when we got her, and 7-years-old once she was finally adopted. She had already learned to “play the system”. However, she met her match with her mommy and daddy! She may have been allowed to play her previous foster families to get her way but it didn’t work that way with us! We were told this is why they (the case worker and therapist) wanted us to meet them, because they both knew needed parents that would be firm yet loving, not push overs as they had previously had.

And yes, before it is suggested, they have been through YEARS of counseling- that did absolutely nothing to help them resolve these issues or help us deal with things. Basically it was just a “system requirement”. Don’t get me wrong- we had a WONDERFUL counselor! But to actually help get to the core matter of the issues it did nothing!

I am angry that the system did not expedite the cases of my older children in a more timely manner so they would have had a more settled life before they did.

I know that this will just make them stronger in the future. I know that challenges grow us.

But that does not make me any less angry.

What makes me the most angry is that in my almost 4 years of being involved in some form of the foster care system, not one single time has an elected official responded to my various correspondences.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to sit down with a MedicAid investigator about 6 months ago and share some of my experiences and complaints regarding the Medicaid fraud within the foster care system. He was quite intrigued, yet was not very hopeful that anything would ever come of my complaints. I told him I have absolutely no problem testifying in a court of law about our experiences. I am MORE than willing to be the voice, the hands, the feet… the whole BODY in this fight for these children stuck in this broken system of foster care!

Tax payers are being fleeced by doctor’s who prescribe unnecessary medications to children in foster care because it is “easy money”.

My two oldest children were two that fell into the above category. It makes me wonder if the fact that they were being “doped up” has caused lasting affects on them.

I am angry that no one seems to care enough to really get involved.

It makes me angry that even now, in my writing, I have comments directing me how I should leave parts of my story out- whether it is my faith or my political stance.

While I appreciate the input and comments, I can’t change who I am. I won’t change who I am! My faith is one of the most significant facets of who I am! Without my faith I have nothing. Jesus Christ is my Strength.. my very breath that I breathe. There’s no way I can continue in this fight without standing on my faith in Christ. If that offends people, so be it! I accept the fact that there are those who do not have faith in Christ. I don’t try to force my beliefs on them. I don’t ask them to change. I do not say I will not continue fighting this fight with people who do not believe as I do. I will GLADLY join with ANYONE who will join in this fight- a fellow Christian, atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, you name it! So if I’m not requiring that they change for me, why is it being suggested that I leave out this part of my story? I refuse. If that offends some people, so be it! That just makes me angry!

I am just angry! As you can see I am angry about a lot of things! These children do not deserve to have to deal with the burecratic crap that they are being dealt right now! Something should have been dong a LONG time ago to solve these issues!
