Larry, Carolina is 100% wrong. Any child born on U.S. soil is a U.S. citizen regardless of the parents citizenship status (Read Jose’s excellent comment explaining this in detail.)

And let me fix my post a bit. Qualifications to become a president are to be a natural born or a citizen of the United States of America. That is in Article 2, section 1, Chapter 5 of our constitution. And, if you read the 14th Ammendment; it clearly states that a citizen is anyone born in the United States. Marco Rubio may not be a natural born citizen to many scholars by definition but he is definetly a citizen by the 14th Ammendment which qualifies him by Article 2 section 1 in our US Constitution to be president.

To Carolina and Larry, I hate to inform you that you are both incorrect. Marco Rubio is qualified to be president and here is why. Marco Rubio was born in Miami, Florida. According to the 2nd Ammendment , the qualifications to become president of the United States are as follows;
-To be a natural born citizen
-To be at least 35 years of age
-To be a legal resident of the United States for 14 years.
Further more, the 14th Ammendement clearly states that a citizen or natural born citizen is anyone born in the United States or on U.S. soil. End of story, regardless of wheter or not the parents are illegal.
So, given this inforamtion, Marco Rubio is a natural born citizen becasue he was born in Miami, he is 40 years old and has been a legal resident his whole life, therefore, he meets all the qualifications according to our US constitution to hold the office of president. Hope this helps!

Mr. Rubio, You are a man that I greatly admire and would love to see you as President of this United States. But as you are aware, YOU ARE NOT a natural-born citizen of this country and therefore are not eligible to be president or vice-president. You Know That! Just as Barack Hussein Obama is not eligible because his father was a citizen of another country at the time of his birth; your father was still a citizen of Cuba. Your father did later become a citizen and revoke his Cuban citizenship; but just as a matter of principle, we must follow the Constitution. Please clarify this to the public. I know that there are many other powerful and important positions that you could aspire to (You would make a great Supreme Court Justice); please support the Constitution on this one. I greatly wish it were not so, BUT IT IS! Respectfully, Carolina
