    A fundamental premise by this author is that the US borders coincide with those on a map. Thanks, however, to the Secure and Prosperous Partnership advanced by Bush (as clearly referenced) in 2004, border security enhancement is underway at the real southern border – that between Mexico and Guatemala.

    Thus Mexicans – and anyone else who can learn Spanish – are quasi-American citizens. Formal acceptance of the SPP may initiate full citizenship. At that point in time, I’ll surrender mine, voluntarily or otherwise. See

    The SPP could transform borders into a new Berlin Wall, intended to limit emigration rather than intrusion, since thousands of American citizens are voting with their fleet.~
