Lest one forgets, Time magazine also selected Hitler as a “non-X’D” ‘Man of the Year’ in 1938. They also selected Joseph Stalin in ’39, Nikita Khrushchev in ’57 and the Ayatollah Khomeini in ’79.
Oh, and don’t forget about Putin, the KGB-agent! He, too, was selected “man of the year” by TIME in the recent past. I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, so I know a bit more about him… When I saw that full-of-himself, arrogant mug of soviet agent staring down at me from the cover of the magazine, I felt an instant urge to throw up!
On ebay all of 1 addressed issue (not news stand issue) of Saddam’s “X” mugshot Time magazine was up for bids. The highest bid is currently $103!! Wow…I might have to search high and low for some more issues of Bin Laden and hold onto them for a while!
