You never were a fan if you didn’t know he was more liberal than anything. Have you actually listened to to “We Shall be Free”? Clearly he supports the democratic platforms of racial and social equality, gay marriage even, and the putting of human interests in front of corporate greed and not allowing money to buy elections. Clearly not a Republican.

Garth has not lost me as a fan.I am still as mug of a fan of him as I was in 1988.It is his decision.I do not knock him for supporting Barrack Obama, yet Barrack Obama should take action instead of just creating speeches.I like Barrack Obama, yet he repeats most of 2008 speech each year.People want progress In this country not regress in this country.

  3. Harry

I actually will always be a fan of Garth Brooks.George Bush,I never really liked him or his policies.I liked Bill Clinton more, yet then again I am not a big fan of politics.Like it or not I do not knock on what Garth Brooks said because I respect the guy and he is right, yet I am not going for no one in 2012 Republican or Democrat.Your opinions about Garth Brooks do not change how much I respect Garth Brooks. No human will.Grow up.

You madam, are are an idiot! And a racist. Republicans have completely eroded the middle class for the wealthiest two percent. Think for yourself, don’t let Rush tell you how to think.

      1. Tom

Think for yourself. Do not let Rush think for you. Yes, you are a racist. You think because you are voting for Mr. West you are not a racist! Laughable if you were not so sick.

“Think for yourself, don’t let Rush think for you.”

“Think for yourself, don’t let Rush tell you how to think.”

Just fyi, I can’t stand Rush. Secondly… if that’s your only argument to support that I am a racist… you need to find a new argument.

          1. doctorhugo

He can’t Allenah. It’s all part of that mental disease known as liberalism. They eject emotional-driven comment as a defense mechanism when they have no intellectual comeback. Only in that kind of abnormal rationale can one who seeks to defame a black conservative simply for his beliefs not be held to account as a racist!

            Can you dig this:
“You madam, are are an idiot! And a racist. Republicans have completely eroded the middle class for the wealthiest two percent.” He calls you an “idiot” simple for opposing him and his beliefs, which …the last time I checked it’s STILL your free right. [sarcasm]How can you be such an idiot Allenah?[/sarcasm]. You are also a “racist”. but he hasn’t justified that claim yet. Good luck Tommie-boy. And the his crowning glory is when he stridently proclaims in bellicose tonations that…”Republicans have completely eroded the middle class for the wealthiest two percent.” He likely conjured that up, because he observed Republicans opposing the additional taxing of the wealthiest as the progressive liberal agenda of ‘divide and conquer” and “class envy” advanced by his Geat Leader and he seeks to make the other 98% feel some sort of “liberal” sense of guilt. Needless to say we are not liberals, so are not illogically burderned down with guilt complexes.

It does beg the question though…How much deficit spending is too much Tommie-boy? And what do you say to the very real statistic that proves that with YOUR current “deficit’ spending rate and confiscating ALL the assets of the uber-rich we still wouldn’t be able to get out of the hole that you *ssholes dug for this Once Great Nation in proliferating all manner of social engineering programs that leave the poorest among us in the same state they were 50 years ago. HELPLESS! except for one slight modification. YOU made them HELPLESS and PARASITES TOO!

II’ve got my eye on you Tomie-boy.

          2. Tom

There you go again. You let Rush think for you again. You really should try to think independently before you become completely robotic, or rushbotic.

Hi. This is nothing more than senseless ramblings. If you are conservative and believe in the Bible it says to obey your leaders and respect them. Vote how you want but when the boss is the boss show respect and support, eveyonebody benifits this way. What good would it do to throw around criticism when our ELECTED leaders are struggling enough. And, part of freedom, especially by celeberties is to say how they feel, after all they are people as well. Keep doing what you’re doing Garth.

      1 Kings 16-17, Matthew 16, 2 Corinthians 2, Proverbs 30, Psalm 5

      Refusing to follow ungodly leadership

“I lifted you up from the dust and appointed you ruler over my people Israel, but you followed the ways of Jeroboam and caused my people Israel to sin and to arouse my anger by their sins . . .”

“When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the royal palace and set the palace on fire around him. So he died, because of the sins he had committed, doing evil in the eyes of the LORD and following the ways of Jeroboam and committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit. . .”

“But Omri did evil in the eyes of the LORD and sinned more than all those before him. He followed completely the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat, committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit, so that they aroused the anger of the LORD, the God of Israel, by their worthless idols. . .”

“Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the LORD than any of those before him. He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him. He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria. Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to arouse the anger of the LORD, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him. . .”

      -1 Kings 16:2, 18-19, 25-26, 30-33

“We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus!” Paul Revere

“The people have the right under God to kill a tyrannt as one would kill a mad dog or a murderer.” -John Adams
“It is the peoples right and responsibility to despose of leaders who work against the liberties of the people. Liberties and rights are usurped by unGodly leaders. Godly men must in be in eternal rebellion against such..” James Madison

“If Kings and Queens rule by divine right, then let them rule in heaven, for they will not rule me!” Thomas Jefferson

“Any ruler or system that rules without the mandate of the people is an affront and must be disposed of, by any means. Rebellion against tyrannts is the divine mandate.”-Thomas Jefferson

      1. Jon

Exactly which liberties have you been deprived of during the last four years?

    3. Allenah Manzanagrano (twitter: @FreedomsBlsings)

      Also read:
Daniel 6, which is a GREAT example of when not to follow an ungodly leader.

      Also, in
Acts 5:27 -29 the apostles refused to follow the local laws which prohibited preaching the Gospel of Christ.

When a leader usurps the authority of God by placing ungodly laws on the people we are not to follow them. Period. We will answer to God, ultimately.

    4. doctorhugo

How about that? The Bible now says…”to obey your leaders and respect them”. Could have fooled me! Yo Josh…How about old Adolph the Nazi paperhanger and Joey Stalin and Mao and all the rest of the world’s tyrannical “leaders”? Get your head out of Garth’s rectal orifice and read the Good Book sometime.

If you were ever a fan, it would not be news to you that Garth Brooks is not conservative. Ever heard the song “We Shall Be Free”? I included the lyrics that Garth co-wrote in 1992 below for your reference since you’ve obviously never listened. There are many “hard working American people” who support Garth Brooks and our President, you do not speak for everyone and I doubt you even speak for a majority of country music fans. Obviously YOU are the shameless one.

    “We Shall be Free”
When I close my eyes I see
The way this world shall be
When we all walk hand in hand

When the last child cries for a crust of bread
When the last man dies for just words that he said
When there’s shelter over the poorest head
    We shall be free

When the last thing we notice is the color of skin
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within
When the skies and the oceans are clean again
    Then we shall be free

When we’re free to love anyone we choose
When this world’s big enough for all different views
When we all can worship from our own kind of pew
    Then we shall be free

And when money talks for the very last time
And nobody walks a step behind
When there’s only one race and that’s mankind
    Then we shall be free

    We shall be free
    We shall be free
Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith, hold out
    We shall be free

    1. Allenah Manzanagrano (twitter: @FreedomsBlsings)

You are right- I AM obviously shameless! I have no problem AT ALL saying that I UNEQUIVOCALLY DISAGREE with President Obama’s agenda and ANY AND ALL who agree with him! HOWEVER, where you ARE wrong is that I claim to speak for all “hard working Americans”, or even all country music fans. I am speaking for myself and myself only! And it is also quite obvious that you missed the entire irony of my post.

It is obvious by your comment that you believe the GOVERNMENT should be the institution to
feed “the last child” who “cries for a crust of bread”
      and
put “shelter over the poorest head”

I, as a Conservative leaning Libertarian believe it is the INDIVIDUAL who should help those in need- ie, the churches and other social groups and individuals giving out of the goodness of their hearts to help others not demanding and requiring that everyone give what the GOVERNEMENT REQUIRES so the government can dole out what THEY deem necessary.

I do not believe it is right for a man to die “just for the words he said”. I am a FIRM BELIEVER and supporter of the 1st Amendment- which is Free Speech for ALL! I COMPLETELY disagree with the Westborro “Baptist Church” ; however, they too have the right to free speech. While I disagree with them COMPLETELY, I am not their judge. God will judge their hearts one day. I pity them when they have to stand before Him.

Very interesting, the next lyric you enclosed I will address.
“When the last thing we notice is the color of skin”
Very, very interesting indeed! All you liberals want to do is scream that we who disagree with Obama are racist. I do not see a “black man”. I see a man bent on collapsing this great nation. I don’t care if he was pink, purple, blue, green, brown, white or black. He is destroying this nation with his agenda! On the point of the color of skin, want to know who my IDEAL candidates would be for the upcoming 2012 election? Allen West and Herman Cain- BOTH are BLACK MEN!

I find it very interesting that those who call Conservatives- or anyone who disagrees with Obama- racist. Did any of you NOT hear the WORDS to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech?
      I quote:
“I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Notice- Martin Luther King, Jr. said he dreamt of a day where people would NOT be judged by the COLOR of their SKIN, but by the CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER! Those of you who spout “racist” to those of wus who disagree with him OBVIOUSLY missed his point! Don’t look at the fact that he is “the first black president of The United States”. This man could have accomplished SO MUCH for this nation to unite us! BEING the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT could have defined him as the GREATEST President to EVER LEAD this nation! He COULD have been a UNITER! Instead, he has done NOTHING but FURTHER DIVIDE us!

Obama has done NOTHING but destroy the freedoms you quote of- yes, indeed, one day, we SHALL be free! However, it will NEVER be under the rule of “Dictator Obama”!

  7. Ted Roberts

So…the last bastion of contemporary patriotic music has ended? I won’t purchase tickets or recordings for an “artist” that backs Obama! To hell with brooks, to hell with Keith!

  8. Daria

Well said. Garth Brooks is an old fool. Fiddling while Rome burns.
