Who is the Muslim Brotherhood?

Muslim BrotherhoodThe Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, toed the Obama administration line during a House Intelligence Committee hearing on Thursday. He stated that Egypt’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood movement was “largely secular”. Really? Really?

What The Muslim Brotherhood Says:

Kamal Helbawi

Kamal El-Halbawy (Kamal Helbawi)

In an interview on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation today, Tony Jones interviewed a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Dr. Kamal El-Helbawy (a.k.a. Kamal Helbawi).  While the interview is relatively tame and presents a very politically correct view, it establishes Kamal as a senior level member of the organization. Kamal makes the point the the Muslim Brotherhood is not after political power.

And in any case, the Muslim Brotherhood leadership and spokesman announced it many, many times, as it is in our teachings that we teach to our junior generations, that we are not after power, but we are after a society that is built on, and a political system built on democratic values, freedom and equal social justice, equal opportunities and the dignity of human rights and the respect of human rights.

Sounds pretty good huh? Except that part about social justice..  eerily familiar.

Kamal continues with a tactic that is very similar to those used by the Progressive extremists in America.

..so the priority is not for the private agenda, the priority is for the agenda proposed and the amendments needed and required by the revolutions.

Not – it is not the right time or the place for the private agenda. Neither Islamist, nor the leftist.

Kind of the Islamic form of a “nudge”. “Neither Islamist, nor the leftist”.. let that reverberate. He is basically saying that the Muslim brotherhood is perfectly fine hiding their private agenda while riding on the backs of the Egyptian revolutionaries.

They will help the Egyptian populace achieve their revolution and then they will push their private agenda. What’s interesting is that the popular desire to remove the current government may well progress the Muslim Brotherhood’s private goal by mistake – furtherance towards the re-establishment of a Muslim state that stretches from Spain to India.

This progressive approach to an Islamist nation is further evidenced in an Islamic Republic News Agency article where Helbawi posited that the Iranian revolution of 1979 is a model to follow. Then Kamal demonstrates his belief in the nudge approach (emphasis mine).

“We are with freedom now, until the people are ready to accept Islam,”

The supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mahdi Akif , is taped[2] giving us a view into the ultimate goals of the group he heads.

Muslim Brother’s dream is to form a total Islamic state.

Still sound secular Mr. Clapper?

What The Muslim Brotherhood Does:

With the Obama administration, Americans have certainly become very familiar with the idea that words and deeds don’t always agree. The Muslim Brotherhood preaches peace and justice – the question is how well do they follow their own advice.

First some history. Founded in Egypt in 1928, the group’s charter was to dethrone the Egyptian king, rid the country of western influences and establish a Islamic theocracy. The Muslim Brotherhood became infamous for its terrorist activities and was banned in Egypt and Syria.[1]

While its infamy forced it to renounce violence, the group simply delegated violent activities to other groups – useful idiots if you will. Hamas is certainly the violent arm of the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Queda and Osama Bin Laden were influenced if not funded by the Islamic group.

Frank Gaffney  talks of the dangers should the Muslim Brotherhood gain political influence in Egypt.

In the Riots in France in 2005, Muslim youths set sections of Paris on fire. The poor Muslim youth are unemployed and angry. According to a Norwegian documentary[2], the Muslim Brotherhood is fomenting and using this emotion to pull the youth into their cause. The Brotherhood doesn’t stop there, as the film points out, they take advantage of the desperate poor in Paris by asking them to break the law.

The Muslim brother’s have preachers that the send to all cities and suburbs in France .. They tell Muslim youth they may marry more than one woman even though French law prohibits polygami .. They say that in 50 years, or maybe just 40 years we will rule France and Europe because they don’t get as many children as us..

So perhaps they aren’t violent, but that does not make them less dangerous. They are basically planning to use Democracy against itself. At some point there will be more Muslim than secular population in European countries and when that population reaches voting age – Allah’s will be done. The majority is predicted to flip to Muslim domination as soon as 2021.

The American mainstream media also ignores the real dangers of the Muslim Brotherhood. They speak of them as a non-violent, peace-loving group. The actions of the Muslim Brotherhood are akin to yelling fire in a crowded theater. Sure, the guy yelling fire isn’t directly hurting anyone and will most likely not trample or crush a single panicked movie-goer, but he did directly cause the tramplings that will surely occur. In the eyes of our laws, that makes the fire-caller as guilty as the trampler, if not more so.

So the Brotherhood’s mind-screw of useful idiots like Hamas, Al Queda, Bin Laden, the desperate poor in France are certainly not the actions of a peace-loving, justice-seeking group. They just have others do their evil bidding while they sit back and watch the carnage as if there is no blood on their hands – our mainstream journalists are taking it hook, line and sinker.

So Mr. Clapper Who are the Muslim Brotherhood?

They are a religious (a.k.a. NOT SECULAR) group seeking the Islamification of the free world using violent sub-groups, the cradle, political influence and the ignorance of desperate, poor Muslim youth. Did we clear it up for you Mr. Director of National Intelligence?

House Reps Block Bill to Recover $179 Million Dollars of your money

I realize with our yearly trillion dollar deficits today that 179 million is a small figure to the fatcats in DC today, but there is  more than first meets the eye, (or ears) here. This situation should have every hard working, tax paying American citizen demanding answers. Yesterday the house voted on a bill sponsored by Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) that would require the repayment of  money the UN had collected from the U.S and had not proven that it has spent. This tale gets stranger by the minute when we try to understand what is going on here. Something smells, and smells real bad when we take a look at the “excuses” we are being told, as to why our Government isn’t demanding this money be given back to us.

First of all I find it quite intriguing when the only congressmen talking about this situation so far are all from New York, where the U. N Headquarters just happens to be located. They seem to be on the frontlines of this attempted cover-up.

Rep Peter King (R-NY) gave us his insight about this situation when  the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee said the issue affected the safety of New Yorkers and the thousands of tourists who visit the landmark building. he then topped off the fear-mongering with: “The fact is this is a disaster waiting to happen,” said King, who broke with his Republican colleagues in opposing the bill. So did another New York Republican, freshman Rep. Michael Grimm. Since we are talking national security here with the new chairman of The Homeland Securtity Committee,  why are we only hearing from New York politicians? Could it be that the State of New York has an interest in sweeping this situation under the rug? Apparently so , as we will see further on in this article. This was the first clue to me that something isn’t right here, and this needs to be looked into bigtime.

We catch a glimpse of why this bill failed with a vote of  259-169 as it needed a 2/3 majority to pass, in an article from the AP on Yahoo News* here:

” The House on Wednesday rejected a Republican-led effort to force the United Nations to give back $179 million in overpayments, falling short in the face of Obama administration arguments that much of the money already had been designated to boost security around an international headquarters susceptible to terrorist attack.”

The United Nations has its own security counsel that is paid for out of their general funds, of which the U. S.  is the biggest contributor by far. Where did this extra money go?  We have some people saying this money has already been spent, and the President saying it has been designated to boost security. Maybe someone should ask the folks over at the U. N. to weigh in on this matter, and they did, as further on in the AP* article we have this:

” At the United Nations, spokesman Martin Nesirky declined to comment on the House vote. He noted that the United States was obliged to provide security as host country of U.N. headquarters, but said ultimately it was up to the U.S. to decide how to spend the money in the fund.”

So here we have the U.N spokesman saying we have the money, and we have a U.S congressman saying we need to take it back from the U.N, and we have a President that says it has already been “designated.”  If this doesn’t show how incompetent our government has become, I don’t know what does here. I do know, that if you follow the money you eventually get at the roots of the corruption/malfeasance/or cause of incompetence in any situation. How did we come to “overpay” the U. N in the first place?  When people give answers and reasons for situations like this that do not make sense, it usually points to a cover-up, designated solely to hide the truth. We as American citizens need to demand the truth today, and it is our duty towards securing our future freedoms.

Thanks to the tireless work of Ros-Lehtinen, this issue isn’t over by a long shot. This will be voted on again, and much more intense scrutiny will be given, as the people start demanding answers.  To sum this all up in her own words,  “”This is not about security,” said Ros-Lehtinen, who argued that the U.N. and the administration were looking for another excuse to avoid making tough choices.”  The State of New York and N.Y. City in particular seem to have gotten the biggest chunk of this money. They are also high on the States most likely to file bankruptcy list. Coincidence?

In these times of economic crisis, I agree with defunding the UN entirely. They accomplish very little for the billions they rake in every year, mostly from the U. S. taxpayer. Case in point? Where are the blue helmets of the vaunted UN Peacekeepers in Egypt, Tunisia and across the globe today? Sure are lots of riots, and governments are being toppled today without any discernable U.N. action.  No more U.S. taxpayer dollars should go to the United Nations, period.

House votes down Patriot Act Extensions

With key provisions of the Patriot act set to expire on Feb 28th, 24 House Republicans voted to block an extension of what many consider to be illegal spying on U. S. citizens. As reported by The Washington Post*  we see just what provisions were voted down:

” The House measure, which was sponsored by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) and required a two-thirds majority for passage, failed on a 277-to-148 vote. Twenty-six Republicans voted with 122 Democrats to oppose the measure, while 67 Democrats voted with 210 Republicans to back it. Ten members did not vote. The measure would have extended three key provisions of the Patriot Act that are set to expire on Monday, Feb. 28, unless Congress moves to reauthorize them. One of the provisions authorizes the FBI to continue using roving wiretaps on surveillance targets; the second allows the government to access “any tangible items,” such as library records, in the course of surveillance; and the third is a “lone wolf” provision of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorist Prevention Act that allows for the surveillance of targets who are not connected to an identified terrorist group. (emphasis mine)

Another interesting observation here is that with many Teaparty members considering themselves to be “Patriotic Americans” this mis-named act turns out to be just the opposite of Patriotic. No warrant, no proof, and no reason needed to spy on citizens ? It is nothing short of  ludicrous how this was ever tolerated by the American people to begin with. Kind of like being conditioned to let strangers stick their hands down American’s pants just to fly from NYC to Baltimore. I see a nasty pattern here, and it sure isn’t the America I grew up in. As we see further down in the Post* article, Rand Paul and the Teaparty proved to the country where they stand on this issue, and were instrumental in blocking it:

” The vote came as several tea party-aligned members of the new freshman class had been expressing doubts about the measure.

Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul, who highlighted his opposition to the law during his upstart 2010 Senate campaign, signaled Monday that he may vote ultimately vote against an extension when the measure comes up in the Senate, likely later this month.”

It will be interesting to see how the Senate votes on this later on this month, especially after we saw numerous Senate Tyrants vote against the American people on Obamacare repeal.  Those Senators pink slips are already printed up and signed for their termination in 2012. How many will sign up to join them in the unemployment line between now and then?  Only time will tell.

Latino Group Worried Planned Parenthood Going After their Unborn Children

Planned Parenthood

WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, a leading voice for Latinos, today called on the House of Representatives to pass HR 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, sponsored by Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ), which creates a government-wide statutory prohibition on abortion funding.  The bill would ensure that no federal funds pay for abortion in the U.S., and also prohibits federal funds from being used to promote and perform abortions overseas as a form of family planning.

“It’s time for the federal government to stop aiding and abetting abortion practitioners who are targeting our communities to kill our children.  Twenty-two percent of abortions in the U.S. are performed on Hispanic women, and they are 2.7 times more likely to have an abortion than non-Hispanic white women,” saidAlfonso Aguilar, Executive Director of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles.  “Motivated by their warped eugenic views, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are clearly going after racial and ethnic minorities in the country.

“Latino voters need to be educated about the efforts of many in Congress and of the Obama Administration to continue allowing this inhumane attack on our community. Liberals have been able to hide this from Latinos for many years because they know the majority of Hispanics are pro-life.  We’re going to put a stop to that.

“It’s important to note also that one of President Obama’s first acts when taking office in 2009 was to rescind President Bush’s Executive Order that prohibited federal funding of organizations that promote abortion abroad. Now, taxpayer money can be used to fund groups that promote abortion as a family planning method, even in developing countries where abortion is illegal. If Latinos, of which 40 percent of them are foreign-born, were to find out that this Administration is helping to actively promote abortion in their home countries, including Mexico, they would be outraged.”

Conference Board Indicator Ticks Up Fourth Consecutive Month

NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Conference Board Employment Trends Index™ (ETI) increased in January for the fourth consecutive month. The index now stands at 100.5, up from December’s revised figure of 100.3. The index is up 7 percent from a year ago.

Says Gad Levanon, Associate Director, Macroeconomic Research at The Conference Board: “Despite anemic job gains in January, the Employment Trends Index suggests that employment growth is poised to accelerate. Both ‘hard’ economic data as well as confidence measures have improved, and since employment growth typically lags, we expect larger numbers of jobs to be added back into the economy in the coming months.”

This month’s increase in the ETI was driven by positive contributions from four out of the eight components plus one neutral, which is Percentage of Firms With Positions Not Able to Fill Right Now. The improving indicators included Consumer Confidence “Jobs Hard to Get,” Part-Time Workers for Economic Reasons, Job Openings and Industrial Production.

States owe feds 42 Billion for Unemployment Payout

Imagine a what $42 Billion dollars would look like considering the picture here represents about $1oo,ooo  bucks. It would take 420,000 of these same piles to equal the amount 30 States owe the federal government this year for the Unemployment payouts. When Republicans called for an end to unemployment extensions they were called heartless. Next week those same “Heartless Republicans” will be shown to have been correct in the fact that those unemployment extensions are proving to push more States further in debt towards bankruptcy, when President Obama unveils his budget plan.

The administration is proposing short-term relief to the States enhanced debt problems due to Unemployment costs. As we see once again, when the Obama administration says they won’t raise taxes on the middle class it ends up being more smoke and mirrors. There already are taxes being raised on everyone in the form of higher State taxes due to the actions of President Obama’s Democrats in the last four years of total control of Congress. FoxNews.com *   reported about this coming to a head in Obama’s budget plan unveiling due next week:

“Rising unemployment has placed such a burden on states that 30 of them owe the federal government $42 billion in money borrowed to meet their unemployment insurance obligations. Three states already have had to raise taxes to begin paying back the money they owe. More than 20 other states likely would have to raise taxes to cover their unemployment insurance debts. Under federal law, such tax increases are automatic once the money owed reaches a certain level.”

Not only is this more irresponsible shuffling of the debt to later years, it is also certain to allow more federal intrusion into State’s Unemployment programs. Bottom line is that when Democrats insisted on extending Unemployment benefits to look like champions for the working class, they have in fact caused a domino effect of tax increases beyond anyone’s ability to calculate. The feds didn’t just “give” this money to the States, it comes with interest charges and also lets the Feds into more of State’s business, as we see alluded to further down in the Fox News article:

” Though the administration could face criticism for enabling states to increase taxes, the thrust of the administration’s argument is that federal taxes would not increase and that the move is fiscally prudent because the federal government ultimately would be repaid at a faster rate than if it did nothing.” (emphasis mine)

When I describe the irresponsible shuffling of this debt to later years, the last paragraph in the Fox News piece confirms it:

”  The person who described the plan said only 13 of the 30 states that owe the $42 billion would be expected to repay their share of the money in the next nine years under current conditions. The administration’s proposal would allow 15 more states to repay the money, this person said.”

Only 13 of the 30 States would be expected to repay this in the next 9 years ?  Just what is that supposed to mean there? With the recent announcement of the fake Unemployement numbers from this administration, how in the world can anyone gauge when and if this debt will ever be able to be repaid? Unemployment went down to 9% and this administration crowed about it long and loud across the nation. What they failed to tell folks, is that those figures are based on 500,000 people taken out of the workforce total completely, because their unemployment ran out and they aren’t looking for jobs. So in truth we actually have more people without jobs and the ability to earn a living today than they want to tell us . Now we have $42 billion dollars of State unemployment debt that will mandate tax increases on everyone. We have the Democrats to thank for this crushing State debt, and they had the nerve to call Republicans heartless for trying to avoid it. I wonder what other aspects of Democratic Budgetary ignorance will come to light in the President’s budget plan next week?  Stay tuned.

TSA Chief Opens the Door for Unions

Last November The National Labor Relations Board , lead by Obama appointee Hilda Solis caved in to Union pressure that Transportation Security Officers hold a vote on Unionization for purposes other than collective bargaining. After supposed careful consideration, another Obama appointee , TSA Chief Mr. Pistole recently expanded this to include previously barred collective bargaining for TSO’s. Here is a summary paragraph from the TSA* home page:

“Last November, the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) issued a decision that called for an election among TSOs to determine whether a majority of officers wished to have exclusive union representation for purposes other than collective bargaining. Administrator Pistole’s Determination allows this election to move forward and lays out specific terms for limited, clearly-defined collective bargaining within a framework consistent with TSA’s security mission, should TSOs elect a union.”

Here we have the pattern of one Obama appointee unlocking the door for Union cronies at the TSA, and then the next appointee taking it a step further towards total Union control. This is what we are referring to when we say the government gets their foot in the door with seemingly harmless actions, then it leads to huge bureaucracies with bloated budgets and Union corruption for vote buying schemes. Once the Unions get into power, labor prices skyrocket as in the examples of  Union penions bankrupting cities and states across the nation we see today. I also see Mr. Pistole finishing his above statement with “should TSO’s elect a Union.” Will Mr. Pistole inform said TSO’s about the dangers of climbing into bed with a Union, putting in 20 – 30 years of hard work only to be told there is no money to pay your pension?  That is happening today folks. Hopefully TSO -TSA workers will take this into consideration before voting on this critical action.

For those readers out there that think this looks good on paper, I have to ask if you are aware that two Unions are fighting over these workers? In the picture below, we can see the AFGE, AFL-CIO  advertising for their Union by providing signs to “help”  TSO’s already.

How about that? Isn’t that nice of them? Do you think that sign is a free gift? I wonder how many of them they went to the expense of making and installing them for, there are across the country? Considering that the AFGE represents  Government Employees, and it is their dues paying for these signs, and it is the taxpayer who pays said government employees salaries, then it is you the taxpayer who paid for those helpful signs. As for the “projected cost” to the taxpayer of unionizing the TSO’s, I’ll let Mr. Pistole tell you again from the TSA website:*

“How much will unionization cost TSA?
There will be no cost to TSA unless and until a union is certified by the FLRA as the winner of the election. If exclusive union representation is voted for by a majority of TSOs, our preliminary estimates are that implementation would cost between $5-8 million annually, which amounts to approximately one-quarter of one percent of TSA’s budget for security officer salaries.”

Only 5 – 8 million a year, if you believe government “projected” figures. When I mentioned two Unions fighting for TSA workers membership, Mr. Pistole further enlightens us once again:

“What are the unions participating in the election?
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) are the two unions who currently have sufficient interest among the TSA workforce to participate in the election. The ballot will have three options: AFGE, NTEU, No Union. If no option receives more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election will be conducted between the two choices receiving the most and second most number of votes.”

When discussing the Unionization of the TSA workforce here, we have to include another agenda the Liberal Democrats have been trying to shove into play for the last two years: Card Check leglislation. This is another mis-named piece of stealth leglislation masquerading as The Employee Fair Choice Act. Ill let the U. S.  Chamber of Commerce** explain this Union payback agenda :

“The “Employee Free Choice Act”—better known as the Card Check bill—is a proposed law that would change how unions are allowed to organize workers in the United States. Big labor unions like the AFL-CIO, SEIU, and the Change to Win Coalition spent heavily during the 2009 election, and are pushing Congress to approve this law. Union membership has been declining—currently about 7.5 percent in the private sector—and they hope this law will change the rules and reverse that trend.”

With many States now recognizing the implications of big Union demands and unfunded pension plans bankrupting budgets across the nation, why would anyone in their right mind want to continue with this madness ? Here we now have the invasion of thousands of new TSA workers adding to our budget woes and we want to allow them to Unionize another 45,000  TSA workers ?  America voted for smaller, more accountable government in 2010. That simply will not be achieved with Obama appointees advancing the Union payback/election buying schemes of today.

Packers Prevail: 31 – 25 Aaron Rodgers Straps on Title Belt, Wins MVP

Superbowl XLV was expected to be  a battle royal between two blue collar teams known for smashmouth football and gritty play , and it certainly delivered on Sunday. The Packers came out swinging, with MVP QB Aaron Rodgers throwing laser-like darts and the defense scoring early as the Packers looked like they were going to blow out the Steelers, in building a 21 – 3 lead right out of the gate. Pittsburgh hung tough behind Big Ben Roethlisberger and their never say die defense, and closed out the first half with a quick touchdown to make it 21 – 10 at the half.

The game heated up to a fever pitch in the second half, with Pittsburgh’s smothering defense confusing Rodgers at times, forcing them to four straight punts in a row, while closing to within 21 – 17 by the end of the 3rd quarter. This became so exciting that fans seemed to root for Green Bay in the beginning, and then turned to rooting for a  Pittsburgh comeback in the second half.  The momentum swings has everyone on the edge of their seats for the entire second half. Pittsburgh seemed to have solved Green Bays offensive gameplan, while their offense hammered away with the running game, moving the ball at will.  This was truly a heavyweight battle for the ages, with neither team giving an inch in the second half.

Pittsburgh scored in the fourth quarter to pull within 28 – 25 by topping off the touchdown with a two-point conversion. This set up a finish that had  fans across the country and around the world mesmerized. Pittsburgh had the ball on the 13 yard line with 1;59 left in the game and trailing 31`-25.  They had to drive 87 yards to go for a winning touchdown, with only one timeout left. Pittsburgh had been here before, and usually found the way to pull out the win. Just 3 weeks ago, Pittsburgh was down 21-7  in the playoffs against the Baltimore Ravens and pulled out that win, so many fans considered this Pittsburgh’s game to win. The Packer’s defense had let the Steelers back in the game not once but twice with Pittsburgh scoring seemingly at will, with star Packer’s defensive back Ron Woodson sitting on the sidelines with a broken collar bone. Pittsburgh drove to near mid-field with short passes over the middle with under a minute remaining. On fourth down with a Championship hanging in the balance, Big Ben’s pass was swatted out of the hands of  Pittsburgh’s Mike Wallace and the Packers had sealed what many fans thought was an improbable victory. A valiant, furious comeback Pittsburgh victory was denied by the gritty, never-say die Packers. A truly blue-collar win for all NFL fans.

Packer’s QB Aaron Rodgers, whose trademark celebration after throwing touchdowns is a wrapping his arms around his waste as a statement of wanting a title belt, was named Superbowl XLV MVP. In what has to be considered one of the greatest heavyweight battles in Superbowl history, Rodgers strapped on his Title belt, while also taking home MVP honors to boot. How fitting is that ?

                                                                         Notable stats:

Rodgers completed 24 0f 39 passes for 304 yards, 3 TD’s and no interceptions. Big Ben had a heroic effort in going 25/40 for 263 yards with 2 TD’s and 2 ints.

The Steelers had 126 yards rushing while holding the Packers to only 50. Pittsburgh led in time of possession with 33:25 to the Packers 26:35.

Pittsburgh was penalized 6 times for 55 yards, Packers had 7 penalties for 67 yards.

Receiving stars : Pittsburgh: Wallace caught 9 passes for 89 yards anda 1 TD, and Ward had 7 catches for 78 yards and 1 TD. Packers Receiving stars: Jordy Nelson had 9 catches for 140 yards and 1 TD and G. Jennings had 4 catches for 64 yards and 2 TD’s.

So there we have it, Superbowl XLV will see the Lombardi trophy coming back home to Green Bay, Wisconsin, the home of the Packers and Lombardi Stadium. The 2010 Packers have put the “Title” back in Titletown, and the NFL Gods and Coach Lombardi surely have to be smiling today. Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers, Superbowl XLV Champions!!

Aaron Rodgers completed 24-of-39 passes for 304 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions

Why Are We So Afraid of God?

Whether you are Catholic or Jew, Baptist or Methodist, Believer or not, there is truth in God’s word: the Bible.

Even atheists may learn and then agree on the truths of the bible. Some of the Bible’s teachings are, dare I say it, secular:  “Friends Shape and Sharpen One Another” – Proverbs 27:17 and “True Friends Strengthen and Help Each Other. – Ecclesiastes 4:9–12. The Bible doesn’t just teach Godliness, it teaches humanity.

Many get caught up in the ceremony, the pomp and circumstance and the decoration of the churches and mosques. Those buildings are not the focal point. Those in the buildings are no more special than you. It’s the message.

We are all God’s children. We are all brothers and sisters. Heck, even the socialists push that message. The difference being that socialists push unity over individual freedom, but God teaches us all to be our own people. In fact, the book tells us that he will only help those who help themselves.

CDN Sports: Super Sunday is Finally Here!

                    Superbowl XLV

The Green Bay Packers vs The Pittsburgh Steelers

The day all NFL fans have been waiting for has finally arrived.  Today Superbowl XLV will be played in Dallas, Texas’ newest billion-dollar attraction, Cowboys Stadium.  While getting to the stadium could get dicey with freezing rain predicted in the evening, once inside the fans and players will be comfortable in  the climate controlled environment of one of the most glamorous sports venues ever created  .

Pregame shows will start at the crack dawn and run right up to the big game for hardcore NFL fans eagerly awaiting the crowning of a new champion, while at the same time hating to see the season come to an end. This off-season has fans and players alike uneasy, as the NFL and the NFLPA ( National Football Players Association) are in tough negotiations, which, if not resolved could lead to a strike interrupting next season. Lets move forward towards today’s big game annalysis, and check out the festivities.

The halftime show will feature the multi-talented group, The Black-Eyed Peas, and it has been rumored to include a surprise appearance on stage with them by 2 Rock n Roll legends. Last years halftime show was watched by an incredible 153 million Americans, not to mention the worldwide attention it garners. This is the biggest day in sports, bar none. The glitz and glamour of the superbowl will be over the top as always, but this is the NFL Championship game, and history will be made today. Lets take a look at the teams, and then I will give you my “conservative” predicition.

Both the Packers and Steelers were picked by many to be in the Superbowl, yet both teams looked anything but super at times during the season. The Packers were ravaged with injuries that left them without their starting running back and tight end along with half their starting defense for pretty much the whole season. Aaron Rogers brilliant season, the emergence of a running game, and reserve players stepping up to rejuvenate their defense helped the Packers recover from a disasatrous stretch during mid-season and make the playoffs as a wildcard team. The Steelers started off without their starting QB for 4 games, ( which they won 3 of) and while their defense was pretty much stifling oppopnents all season long, their offense seemed to be no more than mediocre at times.  This game has all the makings for a historic clash of titans on the biggest stage ever. Both teams also match up very well, with both defenses ranked near the top, and both QB’s being young future hall of famers.

When the Steelers have the ball, they should have the advantage in the running game with Rashard Mendenhall a bruising runner with very deceptive speed. The Packers counter this with a stout run defense and rookie Clay Mathews constant backfield pressure and speed. Packers defensive coordinator Dom Caper’s blitz packages will be key to slowing down the Steelers passing game. Pittsburgh QB  Big Ben Roethlisberger has had a steady season where he has proven time and time again that he can find a way to win in big games.  The Packers were 2nd in the league with 47 sacks.

When the Packers have the ball, they will rely on QB Aaron Rogers laser arm and quick passing attack to thart the dangerous Steelers pass rush. The Steelers linebackers are among  the fastest in the league, led by James harrison and a league leading total of 48 sacks. The Packers will try to slow down the Steelers pass rush with a steady diet of emerging star rookie RB James Starks running the ball. The Packers have a slight advantage in the passing game, with Greg Jennings always a deep threat and complimented by 4 other young emerging recieving stars. Steelers superstar safety troy Polamalu always seems to be in the right place at the right time with 7 ints this season. If Rogers has the time he will pick the Steelers apart with the mid-passing attack. The Steelers need to keep someone  in place to spy on Rogers , as he is very capable of trucking the ball and running for huge chunks of yardage at critical times.

This game could very well come down to special teams match-ups with two evenly matched teams on offense and defense. The Packers Mason Crosby hit 2 field goals over 50 yards this season while the Steelers Shaun Suisham was 8 of 9 form 40-49 yeards with no field goals over 50 yards. In the punting game Pittsburgh’s Sepulveda had a slightly better average while the Packer’s Mashay had 25 kicks downs inside the 20 yard line. No clear advantage here, unless it comes down to a game winning field goal try from over 50 yards where Crosby has a slight advantage. In the punt return game, Pittsburgh should have a slight advantage with Sanders returning punts vs whoever the Packers send out there.

Enjoy your Superbowl Sunday and thanks for checking out the new CDN Sports page.     My prediction: Packers 34 –  Steelers 27.

The Real Unemployment Report

The Mainstream, New York bred, big-business news media outlets were practically tripping over themselves to report that the unemployment rate had dropped “unexpectedly” to 9.0%. The fact that only 36,000 of an expected 140,000 jobs were added was glossed over.

How could an economy that must “Generate 246,600 Jobs A Month To Get To Pre-Depression Employment By End Of Obama Second Term” be seeing a reduction in the rate of employment when we aren’t creating anything close to the number of jobs a recovery would require? It’s rather simple – it isn’t.

Rick Santelli, a CNBC panelist slammed his colleagues when they tried to buff this terd.

“[W]e have overwhelming evidence the jobs market is disappointing, and all of you are trying to look for that one half of spaghetti in a 50 lb. spaghetti bowl. This is not great data,” Santelli claimed. “We know that the U6 probably gives you a better indication of the true unemployment rate …”

Of course his disagreeing comrades keep repeating that “it went down..” when referring to the rate, but the number is a highly-manipulated statistic. If we gain less than 25% of the jobs that we need to recover, and the unemployment rate goes down then the number is simply a lie. The real numbers are dug up by independent analysts and bloggers.

Tyler Durden did a one paragraph analysis of the labor force participation rate. This is a true ratio of the number of Americans working to the actual population.

..the labor force participation rate (as a percentage of the total civilian noninstitutional population) is now at a fresh 26 year low, the lowest since March 1984, and is the only reason why the unemployment rate dropped to 9% (labor force declined from 153,690 to 153,186). Those not in the Labor Force has increased from 83.9 million to 86.2 million, or 2.2 million in one year! As for the numerator in the fraction, the number of unemployed, it has plunged from 15 million to 13.9 million in two months!

So 2.2 million fewer jobs exist now than did a year ago? What happened to the 3 million jobs that would be created or saved or whatever by Obama’s Keynesian stimulus garbage? The real numbers speak for themselves.

Labor Force Participation Rate

Just imagine how bad this month’s report will be once they adjust it .. just before the next one comes out. Adjust this one down even further when we don’t care about that month anymore and then claim false gains in the following month. This is how they do it.

New York Times Rues the Loss of Earmarks

Raymond Hernandez, in his New York Times post, still doesn’t get it and he’s found that many in Congress are also missing the point of the earmark moritorium.

On Capitol Hill, though, many lawmakers remain opposed to the ban, including Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand of New York, who has long supported overhauling the earmark process and who was among the first lawmakers to place her own requests online.

“It’s shortsighted and misguided,” Ms. Gillibrand said, noting that such money is particularly important these days with local and state governments making cuts.

What’s shortsighted and misguided is the spending that Representatives and Senators have shoved into bills without having to have a direct vote on the initiatives.  If this spending is such a great idea, why can’t it stand that test by a House and Senate vote? Because that kind of spending shouldn’t be done at the federal level and would fail that vote.

Steve Axinn, the president of Lake Oscawana Civic Association, agreed. “Not all earmarks are the same,” he said. “There are some that are good and some that are clearly abusive. It is the responsibility of our elected representatives to know the difference.”

That’s the problem, they are all the same. Every earmark is a simple bribe. The Times article goes on to make the case that earmarks aren’t a large portion of government spending.

For all the debate that earmarks stir, the amount of money directed toward them is relatively small. For the fiscal year that ended in September, earmarks made up $15.9 billion of a $3.5 trillion federal budget, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense, a government watchdog group.

In “The .5% Lie Progressives Need You To Believe“, it’s obvious that earmarks aren’t dangerous because of the small amount of spending they represent, it’s how earmarks garner support for the larger spending bill by bribing an otherwise fiscally-opposed member of Congress into voting for it.

Earmarks are not a major issue as a pure percentage of federal spending.  Earmarks are an issue because they tend to force a yes vote on larger spending bills even though the larger spending bill may not be in the best interest of the nation.  This is how “no” votes are turned into “yes” votes, the sponsors of the bill give favors to the dissenters in the form of pork barrel spending, pet projects, earmarks, or whatever else you want to call them.

Libraries and museums are a good thing to spend money on, but not Federal funds. If a community wants a museum, it should pay for it from city and state funds.  Why should someone in Detroit fund a library near New York city? How many libraries in other states did Sen. Gillibrand’s constituents help fund with their taxes?  They’ll never know and that’s the point.

By making spending local, it will likely be more tightly controlled. If property, sales and income taxes keep going up to fund local spending, that local populace will cry out – with their votes. Well, now this abusive spending has reached such levels that the entire country has cried out “Quit spending, quit spending, quit spending”. It would appear that Congressional Progressive Democrats like Kirsten Gillibrand just aren’t hearing them.

Meet the Intellect in Charge of America’s Healthcare

I really wasn’t in much of a mood to write today, but Obamacare Chief Katherine Sebelius cried out to me for another 15 minutes of fame, so here we are. Once again an incident showing how incompetent and ridiculous certain Obama appointees can be is being downplayed by the MSM.  When they did show the following video it wasn’t shown in full context, but thanks to the internet and social media nothing slips by the people today. Here is the whole video  from Eyeblast.tv:  http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=hdqGnznzqG   Unbelievable!  Here is the text of why Obamacare is Constitutional, right from Health and Human Services Secretary Katherine Sebelius:

Sebelius: “Well, I think that the…I…let me begin by saying I’m not a lawyer. And I’m leaving those arguments to our legal team from the department of justice. But I think there are certainly lots of talented Constitutional lawyers who feel that the Commerce Clause very much is broad enough to cover the interstate commerce of healthcare and that we have a unique product because people access services of healthcare whether or not they have insurance. What they’re choosing not to do is actually pay for those services. So it isn’t like if I don’t have a 27-inch TV for the Super Bowl I can’t demand that they have the Super Bowl that somebody deliver that TV because I have a right to it. On the other hand, if I don’t have insurance and I come to the door of an emergency room I get treated and get cared for and somebody else picks up that tab. And I think it’s that framework for a layperson that the two judges who have ruled who find that this law is constitutional found to be well within scope of the commerce clause.” (emphasis mine)

What I also find amazing here, is that Mr. Obama has appointed someone who isn’t a faux lawyer, as Sebelius deemed important enough to lead off with in her statement, while trying to sell Americans the Obamacare Socialized medicine once again. Call me dense, but I still can’t bring myself to equate the government takeover of 1/6th of the US economy to buying a TV,  let alone it’s Constitutionality.

Here is another tidbit about about this genius that is now in charge of American healthcare: She was once the Governor of Kansas for 6 years. So much for informed voters once again.  Her father, John J. Gilligan also made his living in politics as the Governor of Ohio. Ms. Sebelius served 8 years in the Kansas leglislature and another 8 years as the Kansas Insurance Commissioner. With a degree in “Public Administration,” Ms. Sebelius somehow wound up serving as The Executive Director and Chief Lobbyist for The Kansas Trial lawyers Association. Once again an Obama appointee is another fluffy lobbyist at her roots. Every cent this career politician has made has come from the U S taxpayer one way or the other. Today she is also effectively in charge of  America’s Socialized Medicine being sold as Healthcare Reform, which is 1/6th of the entire U S economy. Take another look at the above transcript of this genius explaining to us why Obamacare is Constitutional today. That statement completely sums up Obamacare perfectly. They have no clue what they have done here, nor do they care about the disastrous effects their vaunted Socialized medicine will have on the best healthcare system in the world.

Activist Judges: A Closer look.

Last week, when  Florida’s Judge Vinson shredded President Obama’s vaunted Socialized Medicine Healthcare Law, he was called an “Activist Judge.”  The Obama administration was caught in a shell game when they originally campaigned to create Obamacare, as it is widely known. They called the mandated fees for Obamacare taxes at one point, and later on argued that it wasn’t a tax. Tax or no tax, fees or mandated charges, you cannot, and never will be allowed to force the American people to buy a service or product, especially one cooked up by Rule of law/Constitution- ignoring Liberals. At the root of it all is the Unconstitutionality of  forcing Americans to purchase any product, whether it be the favored Che and Mao t-shirts the radical leftists are so proud to wear, or Healthcare insurance. Judge Vinson did his homework, before this ruling and did it well. He  did not take this responsibility lightly as he stated after his ruling that said the individual mandate in Obamacare is illegal , and since that becomes null and void, the whole Socialized Medicine house of cards comes tumbling down with it. Here is his Judge Vinson’s statement:

““Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void. This has been a difficult decision to reach, and I am aware that it will have indeterminable implications,” Vinson writes.

As many expected this will go to the Supreme Court of the United States to be decided. Judge Vinson made a very calculated and clear ruling on forcing Americans to buy Government run healthcare insurance: It is against The Rule of Law. While Judge Vinson has a very long  history of fair and just interpretations of U.S  laws and our Constitutional rights and protections, parts of our society, and even our very own President came out and labeled this honorable protector of  all Americans and our freedoms as a “Political Activist Judge.”  That tactic is right out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals,” the companion booklet of  “The Communist Manifesto,” which teaches radicals how to overthrow a government to insert Socialism/Communism. Labeling Judge Vinson an Activist Judge right away to further promote Obamacare and Socialism in  America falls right under rule 13* from Mr. Alinsky:

“13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.  In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’…

“…any target can always say, ‘Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?’ When your ‘freeze the target,’ you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments…. Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the ‘others’ come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target…’
“One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” (pps.127-134)”

So there we see the true reason Liberal Democrats, agenda-serving Leftits Media puppets, and even our very own President Barack Hussein Obama deemed it important to label this honorable Judge Vinson as some kind of extreme activist unworthy of the bench. Herr Goebbels, the Propaganda Minister of another era would be proud of this tactic. I find it disgusting and a serious offense to America and The Rule of law. Judge Vinson has no history of Judicial activism what-so-ever !

When looking for actual Activist Judges today, we need to look no further than the very controversial and radical 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court just slapped down five of their misguided, illegal, radical activist-laden rulings in a row recently. As reported in an article over at FoxNews.com,** we see actual proof of Judicial activism:

“The Supreme Court may be sending a message to one of the country’s most liberal appeals courts, unanimously overturning five consecutive cases out of the 9th Circuit in less than a week”

“That’s an indication this court is way out of the mainstream,” said Kent Scheidegger, legal director for the California-based Criminal Justice Legal Foundation. “They’re getting impatient with them. They just keep coming back with this stuff.”

In a Jan. 19 reversal, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote that the 9th Circuit committed a “clear error” by overturning the murder conviction in the case of a Sacramento man. The Supreme Court accused the circuit of having “failed to accord the required deference” to the state court’s decision — in other words, the 9th Circuit horned in on the state’s business when it shouldn’t have.  Kennedy accused the circuit of demonstrating “judicial disregard” for “sound and established principles.” (emphasis mine)

With this very important information showing the activist Judges within the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals malfeasance, people should be asking why our President and Liberal Democrats refuse to label  them as Judicial Activists ? Oh, wait, could that be because they support their Liberal agenda? As Sarah Palin would say: “You betcha! ”  How about the so-called Mainstream Media here ? If the MSM doesn’t want Americans calling them leftist puppets, why do they refuse to call out the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ? The following networks need to answer that question: MSNBC, CNN , CBS, ABC, NBC. I won’t hold my breath waiting for that answer, but until I get one, the before-mentioned groups willl be referred to as Liberal Puppets, Obama-sheep, and all around  dangerous propagandists lacking any form of unbiased Journalistic integrity they show themselves to be today! Clear enough ? Lay off of Honorable American Judges like Roger Vinson and do some real reporting on the true “Activist Judges” in America today.  As far as President Obama and his leftist propaganda minions trying to label Judge Vinson as an activist with exactly zero basis for it, save your breath, as we no longer believe you any more than we desire your Socialized medicine that you are trying to force upon us using the Alinsky tactics mentioned above.

In 2012, lets remember that every Democratic Senator just voted against the stated demands of the American people that Obamacare be repealed. If that doesn’t tell people who needs to be fired for ignoring the true wishes of the people, I don’t know what does ! That isn’t the actions of true representatives of the people, that is the action of self-serving Tyrants. Remember them in 2012.

Book Review: The Overton Window, by Glenn Beck

I would have to put The Overton Window in the category of a Political Suspence Thriller.  As with anything Glenn Beck does, it is well researched with many factual references to certain factions of our government today, and how they operate. It gives us a hard-hitting look into extremist groups, Patriot/Teaparty ideology, domestic terrorism, and an inside look at what our Founding Fathers have written, and their thoughts when laying down the foundation for a new, free Republic based on a Government Of the People, For the people, and By the People.

I found myself immersed in a story-line that included an intense love story, a father-son love-hate relationship, corporate thuggery, and a race to save America from a nucleur bomb,  all wrapped up in a heavy dose of American Patriotism.  The title, The Overton Window refers to the many ways in which propagandists can change people’s perception of what is right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable, and how they are paid big money to advance their client’s agenda. This book really puts the blatant bias of todays main stream media into a more visable perspective here. While this work of fiction contains an exciting drama – filled adventure, it also  contains lots of factual information about past incidents in America.

Glenn Beck’s personality shines through for any of his faithful fans familar with him, and it is obvious he was heavily involved it it’s writing. This refutes the nasty, hate-filled, agenda-laden critique of one Mr. Steven Livingston over  at  The Washington Post,* who either lacks any form of real world reading comprehension, or who failed to read any of the Afterword in the Overton Window, where Beck explains in detail the references, facts and  reasons for writing this book. I find Mr. Livingston to be guilty of a very misguided and uninformed denial of Journalistic Integrity, and of  the exact same mind- massaging techniques Beck explained in this book.  He smears Beck, the Book, the Teaparty, and insults the intelligence of all Americans in general with his personal attack ad disguised as some kind of unbiased review. Maybe thats why the Post stuck it in the back of the Arts and Living section. Whatever the reason, the once highly regarded Washington Post now falls into the category of Rags without Riches in my world. It is totaly disgusting that the Editor let that hate-speech pass as a book review. Read this book, then read that clown’s review.* See for yourself what his agenda is.

I give this book four out of five stars. It is very well-written, informative and it keeps the reader on the edge of their seat wondering how this story will end. The characters are well-defined, and this book pulls the reader right into the twisting and turning adventures of the main characters.  Highly recomended for readers of all ages. It is also available over at Amazon.com right now for only $4.98 ! **  Unless you are a flaming Liberal who’s life in based upon the denial of reality, I promise you will enjoy The Overton Window !
