I love this.
How did we come to a place where we act like cattle being herded around? "Turn Left" they say, and we do without question.... I have no idea - But It sickens me.
So does Mrs. Obama, traveling around telling kids to be thinner. Really? You are going to stand in front of a classroom and lecture on how to be slender - Lecture a group of students in a class where little kids have more to worry about than their waistline.

It is all about restricting us. One tiny step at a time.
You make great points.
Good read.

Ah yes, sweet liberty, paid by the lives of those who so valiantly continue to fight the fight for our American freedom of choice, our individualism. Our inalienable rights set by our forefathers established the solid foundation on which these United States stand, even today. But as you so succinctly state, “Americans are different. America is different. It is, as Alexis de Toqueville said, “The great American experiment”. A gift from our founding fathers and God himself. The chance to finally let each individual human make his or her own path through life. That is what we should be thankful for. We are individuals and require individual rights, afforded us by God himself, protected with the lives of truly grateful patriots (past and present) and that should be limited by no man – none.” Let us all be Thankful, not just this holiday season, but throughout the year…in our thoughts and deeds…in how we think and play, in what we say and in what we do.

I felt my eyes tear up when I first read this. As a veteran, I get it, I got it, I'm glad you said it.

I will be sharing this with my family at the table on Thanksgiving whether they like it or not.

Incredible post, perfect insight, and a long prayer waiting someone to pray.
