  1. “Discover the Networks” claims:

Davis’ good friend Paul Robeson, who himself was a dedicated Stalinist, persuaded him in 1948 to move to Honoloulu, Hawaii. In 1950 Edward Berman, a member of the NAACP‘s Honolulu branch, testified to the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) that Davis had “sneaked” into local NAACP meetings to “propagandize” the organization’s members about America’s “racial problems,” with “the avowed intent and purpose of converting it into a front for the Stalinist line.”

This is more disinformation. Berman never made those claims about Davis. Please read Berman’s testimony as Exhibit 4A of http://www.usasurvival.org/docs/hawaii-obama.pdf

Berman never testified that Davis sneaked into ANY meetings, nor did he claim that he attended with “the avowed intent and purpose of converting it into a front for the Stalinist line.”

AIM published four different versions of Berman’s testimony:

Fabricated Version #1 (“Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army”): In this version, Berman criticized Davis for allegedly sneaking into NAACP meetings, while allegedly having the “avowed intent” of converting the same meetings.

Fabricated Version #2 (“Obama Plays Reagan In Berlin, Al-Jazeera Journalist Funds Campaign”): Davis allegedly tries to take over meetings instead of sneaking into them.

Fabricated Version #3 (“Return of the Dupes and the Anti-Anti-Communists”): Roy Wilkins supposedly criticized Davis directly when he “rightly noted of Davis and his comrades: they would now destroy the local branch of the NAACP.”

Fabricated Version #4 (“AP Lies About Obama’s Red Mentor”): In this account Davis tried to take over the NAACP itself!

Obviously not all accounts can be true. Even without reviewing the testimony, it should be readily apparent to an objective observer that some must be misrepresentations. In fact, ALL are misrepresentations.

  2. Nicely stated Faith!

  3. Either the CPUSA claimed “that Frank Marshall Davis was a Communist and Mentor to Obama, or those claims originated elsewhere. To falsely attribute it to the CPUSA, rather than to conservative sources such as Trevor Loudon and AIM’s Cliff Kincaid, is false validation of conservative claims. It is disinformation, and just another part of the house of cards against Frank Marshall Davis.

This is important, however, only if you TRULY believe in accuracy in media.

    • Let me get this straight Mark. You can’t see that a “decisive influence” can be a “Mentor”? You can’t see the mentorship of “Frank” in Obama’s books? you can’t see that Frank Marshall Davis wrote a poem praising the Red Army, was called to testify before HUAC and the CPUSA not admitting membership, because FMD never did, but admit his close ties. And you accuse me of being inaccurate. You sir, have a case of willful blindness. Good Luck to you.

  4. “Who are we to deny their claim that Frank Marshall Davis was a Communist and Mentor to Obama.”

That seems to be an exaggeration of Horne’s statement. Did we read the same statement? It does NOT “claim” that Davis was a “communist” or “mentor” to Obama. It said that Davis “was certainly in the orbit of the CP – if not a member.” It also said Davis was “a decisive influence in helping him to find his present identity as an African-American,” not a “mentor.”

    • Mark,
Looking at the 2nd Heading: ” Who was Frank Marshall Davis” From “DISCOVER THE NETWORKS” it states:
“Frank Marshall Davis (1905-1987) was a black poet and writer (he wrote for the Honolulu Record, a Communist newspaper), and a known member of the Soviet-controlled Communist Party USA (CPUSA).

“Davis was identified unequivocally as a CPUSA member in a 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii (CSALTH), which, along with HUAC, also charged that Davis was affiliated with a number of communist-front organizations. According to Max Friedman, a former undercover member of several Communist-controlled “anti-war” groups, Davis testified in 1956 before the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee and took the Fifth Amendment when asked about his Communist Party membership.”

This man greatly influenced Pres. Obama. Putting all of this together while reviewing the damage Obama has already done to this Country, it’s obvious his plan is to cripple America, bring her down to an equal par with other countries. It’s not that difficult, with all his czars, that one might suggest:: stop spending and printing money; drop Healthcare it’s too expensive; stimulate jobs by providing tax breaks to small businesses, and on . . .

Why doesn’t he follow this plan instead, because his purpose is to cut America and the American people down to ‘size’. Hatred of American Exceptionalism.

        • The answers are FOOD FUN. 1) You can ask a total srgtnaer, Hey do you know of any good places to eat around here? I’m sure they will ask what kind of food you like and there goes a convo about good food and you can take it a step further and ask if that person might wanna meet there some time to hang out. 2) Fun. I don’t really know this neighborhood where to ppl usually hang out. Now while these are helpful hint, please be careful who you start a convo with, not everyone is a friendly as they may look. Be selective and be smart.

    • And that’s where the text from Obama’s own books fills the gap about mentorship, and the HUAC and other investigations show his Communist membership. I don’t split hairs, I add it up.
